President to visit Baton Rouge and New Orleans Today.
Edited on Tue Oct-04-05 08:30 AM by mcscajun
President Clinton, that is.

On Tuesday, former President Bill Clinton was to travel to Louisiana to meet with hurricane survivors at a Baton Rouge shelter, get a briefing from officials on the relief effort and tour New Orleans' largely destroyed Ninth Ward. Clinton and former President George H.W. Bush are heading up the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund, which has raised US$100 million (euro81.8 million) to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Care to bet this is why * is having YET another "news conference" for no particular reason?

Now I'm torn between watching a real President or a fake pResident

Guess I'll have to watch the fake one, must keep abreast of what he is up to.

2. How many times has Bush gone down there?

Bush sure likes 'surveying' destruction on a massive scale, doesn't he?

Now, if Clinton were still in power, he might do something more than a photo-op.

3. You nailed it mcscajun. Are you in the area so you can see Bill?
Edited on Tue Oct-04-05 08:38 AM by CottonBear
I would love to see him. I saw Al Gore speak in Athens, GA during the first Clinton-Gore Campaign. It was super-exciting. Michael Stipe of r.e.m. introduced him here in Athens, GA at a huge outdoor rally at UGA. It was like a rock concert. I wish Al would run again. He should be president.

* is running scared from the power of the Clenis!

5. No, I'm not down there. I have a friend who might catch a glimpse of
him, though. He works across the street from the center in B.R. that Clinton will visit.

Maybe I'll get a report later...maybe not.
