An idea to oppose Miers' nomination |
|
The notion of a non-judge supreme is okay with me. Maybe even better than okay.
Now, with that off the table, how can we oppose Miers if it appears she's not palatable?
Simple, really. Ask about the totality of her life. She has no record to speak of. She certainly has no judicial record at all. Her writings, if there even are any, would fall under that bullshit about lawyers being advocates for their clients.
And it is patently unfair and unwise to make a judgment on a supreme solely based on impressions and idiot son's endorsement.
So we need to be asking her about her life. She's had sixty years to become who she is today. What happened in those sixty years? Was she kind to her dying mother? Did she ever put a fire cracker up a frog's butt and light it? Did she ever dissect cats? What were her political activities? Did she ever support or speak in favor of a political special interest group? What was the pattern of her charitable giving?
Any and all this - and much, much more - is, in fact, her 'record'.
And it is all germaine to the question:
Is she suitable to be a supreme?

is what everyone should think about and then extrapolate- how much was she involved with so many deadly lies and cover ups. this is not a person worthy of the supreme court anymore than BU**SH** is worth of being our president, but at least his is not a life time appointment. http://www.editorandpublisher.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1001221205

2. Absolutely ... and under my posit, that would be a fair question. |

Not to go after idiot son (wink, wink), but to discern some truth about her.
