A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words
Edited on Tue Oct-04-05 06:47 PM by Carla in Ca

President Clinton in prayer with Katrina survivors

Caption this yourself.

I'm not going to say anything here that you don't already know and believe or, at least, have heard before. I feel compelled at this time to put into words what has been in my heart for such a very long time.

There is so much going on in the world right now, as reflected here, in our world, the DU community. Something new every minute, every day.
We laugh, we cry, we get angry, we console each other. We fed each other as we gain knowledge from what each of us shares.

Look at these two pictures and tell me you honestly do not understand why President Clinton was impeached. Why the years of endless, evil, relentless assault.

It takes a village to make a happy and prosperous country. It takes a village idiot to make a country divided with just a few reaping any of it's benefits, or giving anything back.
I miss President Clinton. My heart aches for what Gore or Kerry could and would have done to continue his legacy of inclusion of all those who would contribute and work hard because they could. And a helping hand to those that could not.

The neocon agenda is self-serving. It is selfish. It is divisive. It is merciless. And, it is in deficit. It is a beast that is consuming our greatness.

We Democrats, we progressives, are his legacy, too. We, together, can get our country back. The Nazi's '1000-year' reign lasted only twelve years because, finally, the sword of freedom was drawn and raised and the beast was no more.

4. Thanks for that
I just had to share my understanding. I will not allow them to succeed with this 'dumb-down' agenda, or the front man that speaks for it. We are too smart to let it continue.

Seriously, he looks like he's getting his sausage polished, or he needs to take a big shit.

5. I saw that tape of Clinton today on CNN
He opened up by saying something like, "I'm not going to give a speech..."

He wanted to hear from the survivors.

I was on my lunch hour, and everything swelled up in me and I gave out this huge sigh.

I miss, so much, having sanity back in this country.

Anyway, when I got home after work, this video was one of the first things me and Mrs. BeatleBoot discussed...

8. Clinton Legacy
I always wondered, even during the early ninties what President Clinton would do after eight years. My answer could not be any better than that one single picture of him.

10. It is not difficult to recognize a true leader -
- one who doesn't have to refer to himself as "The President", or arrange fake photo ops

- one who has genuine compassion for others and doesn't have to fake it,

- one who sits down with the victims and listens to their needs and sorrows

- I miss Bill Clinton!

11. One who doesn't try and force his way through a door so he can
walk in ahead of someone who has just had heart surgery.

What a putz!

I miss Bill Clinton, too.

13. So right!
But spoiled underachievers are like that.
Man, Bill ruins a blue dress, a putz (good word) ruins a country.

12. There is no one quite like him.
I got to shake his hand in 1996. An absolute thrill of a lifetime.

15. Our prez is a disgrace, quite simply
When he "won" again in 2004, I got flamed right and left on another board because I posted that I thought anyone who voted this clown in again ought to get screwed first and harder than those who voted against him.
But come on...
How could anyone in their right mind vote for him after the first 4 years? What additional proof did they need?
And now Katrina.
If this isn't the very definition of everything a prez should not be, then what is?
