Bird flu is important, and it is NOT something to dismiss
It could kill MILLIONS of people.

BUT LET IT BE KNOWN: George Bush said that "quarantining" should take place. THAT'S B.S.!!! There are more effective ways to take care of it. HE IS SUCH A FUCKING DUMBASS!

Repeat: Bush is a fucking dumbass and is incapable of leading. Quaranitning with our military (WHO IS FUCKING IN IRAQ) will not solve anything!

1. i'm sorry you gots to pick one
avian flu is controlled in this country by de-population -- identifying & killing the birds w. avian flu

there is no treatment, tamiflu don't work, quarantine would be required if it were really as easily spread from human to human as claimed by the bird flu hysterics

which of course it is not

quarantine is not necessary, neither is panic

but if you are a true believer in the human transmission of bird flu such that it could kill "millions" (which i think is horse hockey) then i don't see how you can oppose quarantine

* is promoting this horse hocky for his own purposes

we don't have to buy in

10. You must believe that viruses don't mutate
I'll stick with the more educated opinions of people like my friend, a medical doctor who specializes in infectious disease. Thanks, though.

2. Didn't Shrub "read" a book about a flu epidemic while on vacation?
Wasn't that one of the books on his supposed reading list? That fact along with today's comments is enough to make anyone think (and worry just a little bit).

15. Maybe he read Stephen King's "Dreamcatcher".
Chimpie described the quarantine and how the military handled the quarantine to a "T".

3. So if a town gets sick with bird flu
…the military can shoot everyone dead. That's fewer social security payments to make. Fewer Medicare payments to make. Fewer people collecting from unemployment. Fewer people collecting welfare (does the govt still give people welfare anymore?)

Yeah, it's neocon's dream come true. If they won't kill each other, kill 'em yourself. All in the name of national security, whether here or in Iraq.

11. Exactly--
We must ask ourselves,

1) How many cases of bird flu have been documented outside of 3rd World countries, especially outside of Asia?

2) If any cases have been documented in advanced countries, how many patients have died?

3) And if any cases have been documented in advanced countries, how many people around these patients have contacted bird flu?

16. It hasn't mutated yet. When it mutates to a human to human
easily transmissable form, then the shit hits the fan.

Maybe you never heard of the great 1918 flu pandemic that killed 675,000 Americans in a few months, from a population base of about 100 million.

7. Martial Law!!!
Bush specifically the "flu"=Martial Law.

Any excuse will work for these fascists. Hurricanes, war, terrorists, flu... whatever. Bush continually talks about "military" intervention. Get it?

12. Quarantine Won't Work
and here is why. Person in Asia infected with mutated virus (now easily transmitted from human to human) but not yet showing symptoms hops airplane to New York City. Everyone on the plane is now exposed, that's 400 people. Let's say it actually takes hold in half of them, that's 200.

Let's just say for 80% of those 200, NYC is not the final destination. You now have 40 people walking around NYC with the virus, not yet showing symptoms. How many people does one come into contact with on a daily basis? What about the other 160 scattered across dozens of cities?

By the time we realized what was going on, it would be too late for a quarantine - the virus would be nationwide. He needs to stop watching Dustin Hoffman movies and come up with a real plan.

14. Quarantine would only slow the spread for the reason you indicated...
...not prevent the spread. U.S. only has enough drug for the same percentage of the population that gets the tax cuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you by any chance mean those elite, rich folks, who are intended to be part of the NWO...after 80% of the earth's population is decimated by this that or the other thing??
