Are our Democratic Leaders preparing for a coming Constitutional crisis
if the indictments come down and actually do name Bush and Cheney? Is that one reason why they all seem to be flying under the radar recently?

Whether or not Bush and Cheney get named - we already have a Constitutional crisis going on right this moment where the legislative branch has been stripped of oversight and access to information in any number of departments of the government. What are they doing to rectify this imbalance?

1. They've been under the radar for decades. And your question is
a good one. I'd sure like to know too.

6. Coming into work this morning, I asked hubby the same thing...
What happens to our gov't if all the bigwigs get taken out by indictments? Is Hastert ready to step in? Or would we just be getting screwed all over again. I don't know much about Hastert at all.

I wish it was like our Univ. When we had one of our Pres. screw up, we invited the retired one back until we could get on even footing and search for a new one. Wouldn't that be great! OK, I'll get my head outta the clouds and come back to reality. But, Reality Sucks!!!

2. no-who knows-nothing
i have no faith in the national democratic party. they are spineless cowards who have no idea what it is like to live under this president and worse they do not care. the president is at 40% or less but the democrats still piss in their collective pants everytime someone asks them to take a stand. there are some memners of the party who have taken a stand and i take my hat off to them but for the rest they don`t deserve my respect.

3. I doubt it. I don't think they're focused, except for Conyers
I think they're mostly still in a reactive mode, reacting to this and that. There's not enough being done to my knowledge to work out a plan to subvert the ongoing misdeeds of this administration and the republican congress. They need to attend some sort of retreat for a week imo to hammer out some ideas.

One idea for thinking ahead is when is Frist up again for re-election in 2006. We already know that his '08 Presidential hope are probrably ruined, but why should he even be re-elected?? Is anyone in the Dem party planning to run a challenger against him and then go heavily into Tennessee and "Dachle" him? If not, they are crazy.

4. If the Congress has been stripped of its oversight powers, whose
fault is it? Which party is currently in power?

It's all part of the plan.

5. Nah, they're mostly wimps and cowards
keeping themselves busy raising money for the next election.
