2. within the margin of error |
|
I would presume.
VERY few political polls have a margin of error less than 3%.
There was no spike.

I regularly do Zogby polls, and I didn't raise my opinion of him. In fact, I wish they had an option worse than "very poor".

Statistical sampling noise.
Bush is becoming an All-American Nightmare for both major parties -- and everyone else in the world, besides.
If I was a Republican, I think I'd be learning the words and guitar chords to Kumbayah.
--p! Someone's workin' hard, my Lord, Kumbayah, Someone's workin' hard, my Lord, Kumbayah, Someone's destroyin' America, my Lord, Kumbayah, Oh, Lord, FER CRYIN' OUT LOUD, GET BUSH THE F**K OUT OF HERE!

7. Look at the "unsure" %'s in first poll. Bush has sure politicized |
|
Edited on Wed Oct-05-05 09:55 AM by expatriot
this nation. 14% unsure in 2/2001 to 0% unsure today. wow.
on edit: the word "politicized" has at least two meanings here I guess and I mean both of them.

18. One thing to keep in mind when considering any poll... |
|
a significant percentage of the American public pay very little if any attention to politics at all. They don't watch news on teevee, they don't read newspapers, they don't discuss politics with people around them, and they most certainly don't read political webs sites. Most, if not all, of the crimes that we on DU are so acutely aware of are barely on the radar to many. In general, people who do not keep up with politics will often give the pResident the benefit of the doubt when they don't know any better.
Those who use teevee as their primary source of political info are now subject to RW spin control and such immensely important issues as lost pretty blond girls in Aruba.
This is why the Rovian tactic of a simple, concise, repeated message can resonate for a long, long time. For ex: "We are fighting the war on terrorism in Iraq", "Saddam was connected to 9/11", and so on.
A scary thought, but many are completely unaware of their political surroundings.
I'm holding out hope that the Plame indictments will be such a bombshell that this barrier in the public consciousness will be breached for good.
