Anne Coulter calls for Bush impeachment over Miers. |
|
http://www.startcolorado.com/iac/KOA-AM/rosen-coulter.wma(Runs about a half hour) She said it several times, half-jokingly I think, but she's really flipping out over this nomination lol. She also called Miers "an embarrassment" and "INCOMPETENT, unqualified, sycophantic".

3. I WONDERED if there was ANYTHING Bush could do Ann wouldn't agree with |
|
Edited on Wed Oct-05-05 04:34 PM by IanDB1
Now I finally understand.
She's not just a noted transgendered plagiarist harpie.
She's a jealous noted transgendered plagiarist harpie.
She's just pissed that Bush gave that other woman the job!
Ah, hell hath no fury like a transgendered plagiarist scorned.

39. Gosh no, no flipping there. In her world view Bush has let down the |
|
hard right wing of the party. He has gone soft like his Daddy did. She is a hard core, evangelical conservative, right winger. In her view, Bush has betrayed those who have worked so hard over the past 20 years to get a congress and president in office that would shape the SCOTUS in their image. They are totally insane with rage that this opportunity has been squandered by cronyism and stupidity.
They put Bush in office because they thought they could control him. Now they are getting out the long knives because he didn't follow the program. They were willing to give him a pass on the deficit spending, (although there have been some rumblings) because the conservative make-up of the SCOTUS has always been their real goal.

If enough conservatives complain about her, she won't look all that bad to the Democrats so she will slide right in. The problem is that she IS that bad and she is exactly who they need in case Plamegate and future disclosures prove problematic in the White House. We need to fight this nomination- regardless of whether the right appears to be outraged.

including mounting a smoke and mirrors campaign from the far right to convince Dems that she's not that bad. She IS that bad, both in her total lack of suitability for the job and her (99%likely) right wing agenda.

Thats ridiculous. Conservatives really are angry about this. They wanted a "movement conservative" with a track record, and someone that would drive liberals up the wall. Harriet Miers isn't like that. She seems like a lightweight, and although she is probably conservative, there's no real record to prove that.
This has already been good for democrats, but it has potential to be even be better. If she gets confirmed and votes EVEN ONCE thats different than Scalia and Thomas, which is very possible, conservatives will go apeshit, and it could really hurt republicans in '06. And who knows how she'll vote on cases between now and '08. But if she turns out to be at all 'moderate', it could have a major impact on the conservative movement. I think alot of em will just be disheartened and turn skeptical over politics in general. Maybe thats hoping for too much though.
At this point I don't think it matters what kind of justice Miers turns out to be, there's no way she's ever going to be able to live up to what conservatives wanted. The only way thats going to change is with another retirement, like with John Paul Stevens. We have to hope that he holds on at least till after '06 and better yet after '08.

Republicans are like lemmings. They will follow bush over the edge. He could nominate Ted Kennedy and they'd follow him. Their faith is unshakeable. Republicanism is a cult.
I think it's all scripted by Karl Rove for Rush, Ann Coulter and several of them probably involved.

It will be interesting how she plays out on this. Sort of...

Just have to say it, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Oh that's good, thank you for posting this, I never watch any of that faux news crap anymore.
I'm still wondering if this isn't a ploy though, because this Miers person is WAY anti gay and WAY anti abortion, and now that she's come to her reborn Christian views, we're being promised her view will never change. Now. Sure. Now her opinions won't change. Not anymore. And further, that's a good thing, a thing which he can promise? OK, sure.
No, at this point, I'm not sure if neocons are duped along with everyone else, or not, because at the base of the matter is THE fact that the only reason for her nomination is to keep BushFreak out of jail. Is this a media campaign to lull the liberals into accepting this...woman that thinks Bush is brilliant. The most brilliant man she's ever met? Yeah. Like I said about old Ann before, I think she fakes everything, and fakes everything very well. Never trust a liar.
Now would be the time for it, they're spinning like never before, before our very eyes, today.
