This Winter: Olbermann Flu - Spread it! |
|
Keith Olbermann (and his second, Alison Stewart) has been the darling of the left. He has consistently reported in a way the we on the left want news reported. Actually, that may not be exactly true. He's clearly left leaning, where news should simply be honest. But hey .... I'll take one Olbermann over a brazillian of the brand X types.
I'd love to see Keith donate some DNA that could be distilled into some sort of flu. That flu could then be spread to newsrooms across the country.
And if bushco stays true to form, there'll be no vaccine for it.
Tonight's Olbermann gem?
The 12 'coincidences' of an alignment between bad bush news and terra alerts - today's that bullshit in NYC.

3. Bloomberg's got a re-election coming up.... |
|
How conveeeenient to plan a bullhorn moment and DECLARE he and his family will be riding the subways, so don't be afraid New York while I'm in charge...yeee hawww, NYC style...
But seriously folks, why do these terra alerts come right before elections? Is this our October surprise?

4. Oh dear, I think I've caught Olbermann fever. |
|
Whenever I watch him, I begin to feel so hot and flushed.
Makes me feel like taking to bed, I tell you.

6. I have liked Olbermann... |
|
Since back when he was on ESPN. Smart and funny even then. Always had an eye for the fact that so much he was assigned to talk about was completely absurd. To be honest, at first I didn't know what to make of it when I heard he was going to make the switch to the news channel. Then, of course, I started watching him, and as the song says, "I looked in and I learned to shut my mouth."
That man is a genius.

When he's forced to report absurdity his face tells the truth.

8. Olbermann is really the prototype for the future of nightly news |
|
Seriously, his show covers real facts in a serious way, but with a style that engages. He talks neither down nor up and he is a guy to whom anyone can relate. There's no doubt that he could easily become the latter day 'most trusted man in news'
Even his comedically framed 'worst person in the world' is real, hard news.
The paper toss sign-off is also very good.
I hope Brian Williams (overinflated Ken doll bimbo that he is) is taking notes.
