Is someone using domestic terror politically? Who would do
such a hideous thing? :sarcasm: I heard tonight on KO that someone might be doing in this. In fact, there were 13 incidents of "coincidence" when domestic terror issues have been used to counter bad news for the * administration. Wonder what they are?

What are your thoughts?

10. I could be wrong
but DHS is downplaying the threat, which leads me to believe Bloomberg is hyping it for political gain.

Anyone ever noticed that the only way that Republicans can function is by starting wars and trying to rally the population against a common, unseen enemy?

17. Tch. Put your tin foil hat on.
You sillies. It was just a coincidence. One of those predictable coincidences.

Like just because every time "A" happens "B" happens doesn't mean "A" causes "B"...

See, when the administration is in trouble, our intelligence people just naturally get more alert, see, so they catch more plots. Like the three major plots on US soil they already foiled.

What do you mean, what 3 plots? Dincha listen to the shrub? They caught or killed 95% of those responsible for 9-11. (see, if you take the 19 hijackers and count them as "killed", since they did, in fact, die, then you add the one guy who remains uncaught, you've got a 95% success rate, which is pretty darn good and requires no work at all).

19. All these fake terror alerts ARE acts of domestic terror!
Edited on Fri Oct-07-05 02:58 PM by StopThePendulum
And they're coming from the White House! I may not be able to prove it, but the pattern is there.

Every time Bush's approval rating goes down the toilet or scandals reach too close to some prominent, powerful Repuke for comfort (Tom DeLay's money laundering, Karl Rove's Plamegate investigation, **'s Floodgate, etc.), out comes another terror scare.

These fake terror alerts not only serve to divert attention from the high crimes of the GOP, but also to intimidate ordinary Americans from exposing the Rethug culture of corruption.

23. Fake political terror is terrorism
Glad to hear KO talking about the 13 coincidences. I missed it. Wonder if one of them was the TERROR at that mall in Ohio during the election. Wonder if anyone has pieced together clips of Cheney and Ashcroft(?) or DHS (?) talking about an American city either getting nuked or a dirty bomb during the election. Terror sure dropped off after the election. It's back. Bush sucks; the country is finally figuring out that they've been snookered and it's back. We need a new department: the Department of Domestic Political Terrorism.

24. I am glad to hear this connection being made too. I also
wonder what the 13 incidents were but I don't know.

Great idea for the new department. Did you see the thread hear about Kerry being right re: this connection?
