You should have heard Rush Thursday.
Edited on Fri Oct-07-05 05:56 AM by Bullshot
I was working within earshot of someone else's radio. Limpballs was railing against people who are selling their SUVs because of gas prices. He was really bitching about the prevailing attitude that Christmas spending will likely drop because of the gas prices. He was complaining that it's another example of the "liberal media" talking this country out of the economic growth that this country is currently enjoying.

Hey Pigboy! Not everyone makes $100 bazillion dollars a year like you do. $3 gas and the upcoming heating season will make a MAJOR impact on our budgets.

Ya know what? There will still be a bunch of middle/lower income dildoheads who will believe that crap Limpballs just spewed Thursday and repeat his message to other circles of people.

1. Yup, and then they'll spend themselves into oblivion,
after which the bankruptcy bill will clean them up.

9. You mean..
.... the 20% or so of Americans that aren't already in hock up to their eyeballs :)

That's the problem with Republican economic theory, it doesn't account for when large portions of the populace have not only spent their money, but have tapped out every source of credit they have.

3. odd thing is that a bunch o f those folks (still believing Lush)
will do the very thing he is railing against the "Librul media" from promoting -they will cut down on gas consumption - or if buying a car, consider gas mielage, and trim down on Christmas due to out of control inflation for everything due to the higher energy costs... all while LOUDLY telling anyone who will hear that the LIBRULs and the LIBRUL media is talking down the economy to hurt bushco.

4. Rush makes over $20 M a year. Does not understand "little people"
Oh, of course, he claims that's what he's all about. But it's just more Republican Propaganda. He is a fat cat, and cannot comprehend how $3 gas impacts people making $11 a hour, or less, never mind those making minimum wage.

5. It's okay to check in on the enemy once in a while to see what they are
thinking. It helps us to ultimately defeat them.

It amuses me how everyone always prefaces a Rush or Fox update with:

"I was channel-surfing and accidentally saw..."

or

"I was in earshot of someone else's radio and overheard..."

6. Gas prices is Chimps ultimate downfall.....
Bush could rape a nun, smoke crack in the Oval Office and do it all while watching porn but they wouldn't care. He can invade country's over 100% lies and bullshit and they wouldn't care. He can give Halliburton billions in bullshit no-bid contracts which RAPES taxpayers and they wouldn't care.

But..keep gas at $2.75-3.00 per gallon and they finally wake up. Finally after all these years they are realizing what a fucking baffoon and corporate stoolie Bush is. His numbers keep dropping, and those drops aren't from Dems, their from RW'ers and Freepers.

7. If I hear one more person say, "Gas is high b/c no refineries have
been built here since the 70's b/c of the environmentalists", I'll scream.

HELLO????????? ASSHOLES?????????? Gas is high because we're dicking with the middle east, screwing up the supply, and because we have the oil companies as our president, and so our president is glad to manipulate anything/everything into keeping the price high, in order to increase oil company profits.

8. Other favorites from the addict:
"Why do people get so upset about bank ATM fees, but never say a word of complaint about taxes?"

(Um, maybe it's because the pig banks arbitrarily increase fees whenever they want, ignoring the fact that without consumers/depositors they would be nothing, whereas taxes at least theoretically go into the public till? Not to mention the fact that there ARE plenty of people who complain about taxes--a fact the pig-addict conveniently ignores?)

"Maybe if some of these really wealthy black athletes realized that the death tax (sic) would keep them from leaving their wealth to their families, maybe they and people in general would start complaining about the unfair death tax (sic)."

(Yeah, why do we want to tax the estates of the super-rich? Wouldn't want any money or power to EVER switch hands and give anyone else a chance, now, would we?)

10. Bet Limbaugh never says a word about the big tax breaks that were
given to people for buying SUV's. I think those tax breaks are expiring now, and that (plus their lousy gas mileage) may be the real reason people are dumping the SUV's.

Not to mention that SUV's always were topheavy, unsafe vehicles, made of weak materials, often plastered with stupid stickers and magnets when driven by men whose endowments were less than standard...
