Wouldn't it be hilarious if Plame and/or her husband were indicted! Seems to me the only plausible solution to a no-contest expose.

Oh... yeah, that's right... indicted for telling the truth about the Bush administration. That's a crime under the Patriot Act, isn't it?

7. Joe indicted for what??? Sleeping with a covert op?
And Valerie indicted for sleeping with a US ambassador?

Rightwingnuts need to go. Do to them all what Ann the man Coulter says should be done to non-rightwingnuts. And there are FAR MORE of us than there are of them. Although being so stupid, they see 32% support for bush's illegal invasion as being the "majority".

Poor stupid MFers.

9. We live in Bizarro world so who knows what to expect
If someone six years ago had told me the US would be doing the things it is today I also would have scoffed. It would not surprise me is they didn't indict Clinton over this.

Who knows what to expect anymore. Fitzgerald seems to be playing it straight, but he is, after all is said and done, a Repub, and the independent counsel system is rigged their way.

It's hard to imagine that Wilson and Plame could get screwed, and Rove, Scooter and company off the hook, but stranger things have happened.

If nothing else, I expect this to be the Freeper line as to what should have happened. And expect the media to give it far more air time than it deserves. Before you know it, the idiot public will be thinking it's as valid a view as any other and the truth is in the middle, no matter how much evidence there is that it's all Bushie corruption.

30. Fitzgerald is not a republican!
He's listed as an independent. Do you think if he was a republican he would've gotten the republican governor of Illinois and the republican mayor of Chicago? Give me a break.

31. My apologies to Patrick Fitzgerald
As for his going after Repubs in IL... I dunno... Earle (isn't that his name?) is a Democrat and has gone after a fair share of Dem politicians. It's at least feasible it could go the other way.

But I admit I was wrong. And I'm glad to hear it. Makes me feel a little better about what may be coming down.

I was sure I'd read that he was, and it made enough sense, his getting the assignment when he did, that it never occurred to me to question it. I, or my source wherever I read it, may have confused him with Peter Fitzgerald, the Repub who got him assigned to Chicago, according to a very good WaPo article about Fitz' background at:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A55560-2005Feb1?language=printer

So anyway, thanks for correcting my misinformation.

That said, I still say the special prosecutor system is rigged in their favor and we really have no way of being 100% certain what's going to come out of all this. Guess I've gotten where I just don't trust anyone who works for the current administration, or gets appointed by them.

14. If Rush & Savage & Drudge said that we didn't really drop bombs
on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and that it was really some Japanese kids lighting their farts after eating some bad sushi,

The freeptards would be screaming about how the Dems cooked up the whole atomic bomb lie just to make themselves look good in WWII . . .

18. Having on occasion dipped...
...my toe in the filth/ridden scum pond known as freerepublic.....

They believe:

1) The Niger/yellowcake story is true. That Wilson lied.

2) That Joe Wilson outed his own wife.

They believe this because Wilson has been known to call his wife by her maiden name....which means nothing. The funniest "proof" is that the two of them had their picture in Vanity Fair...so they outed themselves! Every time this comes up, some rare freeper with half a brain mentions that the article came out AFTER the outing...but they manage of consistently overlook that small fact.

It's time for them to put on their sheets and sneakers and drink a nice potent with an extra dose of kool-aide and wait for Jesus to come take them away on the comet.

20. Do they give any opinion WHY they think this crap?
Seriously, Wilson hasn't even been investigated - interviewed, yes - as part of the investigation process to determine how the leak has hurt his wife and family.

But, why on earth would they think he was going to be indicted?

Stupid, stupid, stupid.

26. Same thing I wonder
It sounds like someone r*vish making up the most outrageous, ridiculous thing they could think of.

And something that would give the freeps something to hang on to, if only temporarily.

Then later the freeps will remember this and say that Joe Wilson was almost indicted or some fantasy like that.

:spank:
