James Dobson says Meirs is AGAINST abortions
Dobson, who has worked for more than 30 years to overturn the high court's 1973 Roe vs. Wade decision legalizing abortion, said he believes Miers is against abortion, based on information including talks with her friends.

1. You can also be "against" abortion personally but "for" it to be legal
If James Dobson doesn't believe in abortion then he just shouldn't ever have one (!) - otherwise STFU.

3. We have an image problem, in the Pro-choice Movement...
The 1/1000 of a percent of our membership that's actually in favor of abortions--the "No Baby Born Alive" faction--gets all the press.

5. So what? Pro-choice doesn't mean you are "for" abortions.

12. It has been marketed to the masses that way.
Red-Staters ridiculously claim that saying you are personally against abortion but are pro-choice is like saying you wouldn't own a slave but are pro-slavery.

Stupid, but that's what we're dealing with.

16. Dred Scott
As we found out (some of us didn't know this) "Dred Scott" is code for being pro-life amongst pro-lifers.

W actually spoke in code during the debates.

6. Wow, Dobson is really quite the failure
He's apparently dedicated the last 30 years to overturning Roe v Wade, and he can't even get it done with Republican control of Congress, the White House, and soon the Supreme Court....

If that's not the definition of "total failure", I don't know what is.

7. Ouch!
What is going to be even more embarassing is when W has the chance to nominate TWO SC justices and it STILL isn't over turned because.........wait for it........the actual powers that be don't want to lose it as a fundraising and rabble rousing issue and they have been stringing Dobson's followers along all this time.

8. Yeah, I'm waiting for that day. But they will just use some lame cop-out
"So, ok, fine, you're against abortion. Go make it illegal."

"I can't, I'm just one person"

"Write your Republican congressman. Isn't he pro-life?"

"Yeah, but hes just one of many."

"Well, don't Republicans have a majority in the House and Congress? And isn't your main selling point for the GOP that they are all as pro-life as you?"

"Yeah, but there's nothing they can do"

"Who will stop them? The President? The one who is pro-life, and likes to err on the side of life?"

"Well, no, the Supreme Court, because -"

"The same Supreme court that has a majority of its members sympathetic to pro-life causes, two of whom were even appointed by the president?"

"Yeah, but they can't -"

"Really? Why not? Who is stopping them?"

"Liberals"

"Liberals? Really? Where? How?"

"Shut up"

10. I'm against abortions too

I'm also against drowning kittens, drunk driving, and kids sticking objects up their nose.

But I'm against idiocy, not for taking away the rights of women to control their lives and bodies.

15. What he think about liberals....
"A recent edition of the ministry's flagship Focus on the Family magazine defined conservatives as championing democracy, human rights and 'the cause of freedom around the world,' while 'liberals defend civil rights, abortion, pornography and homosexuality.' "

Dobson is the founder of "Focus on the Family."

I could care less what Dobson has to say... I wish I could say the same for everybody else...

17. James Dobson with Focus Bofus on the Family
Someone smack that pompous twit with a mackeral.

He's gotten private assurance? By the look on his face, it looks like someone is stimulating his prostate.

If she gets on the court, and she votes to let Roe stand, we can sell a Pay per View to watch James Dobson's head explode ala SCANNERS.
