Bush approval lowest ever (37%)
By: ignatius · Section: Diaries

Bush's approval has dropped to under 40%. Down to 37% and falling.

Conservatives who remained loyal simply for the Court are leaving. A 3% fall in popularity since Miers. It could end up under 35% if this keeps up.

These are the lowest numbers ever for Bush.

The initial number for Miers were also the LOWEST of anyone Bush has nominated for the Supreme Court (aka much lower than Roberts).

In fact ...read this
-----
President George W. Bush's overall job approval rating has reached the lowest ever measured in this poll, and evaluations of his handling of Iraq, the economy and even his signature issue, terrorism, are also at all-time lows. More Americans than at any time since he took office think he does not share their priorities.

Bush will be a lame duck if he does not immedialtly withdraw Miers and nominate a McConnell, Luttig, Pryor, Brown, Alito, Garza, Jones, or similarily qualified NAMED, REPUTABLE conservative.

---
The poll found 69 percent of respondents saying the country is going in the wrong direction

The number for Miers are also very low, see

Maybe he should have said 15%. Unless Bush has someone or something blown up his approval ratings are going to keep sliding on a weekly basis.
