1. What's this all about?
I think I'm missing some context here.

2. Oh, you know...

...it doesn't really need context, even though I did think of it while typing a reply to something else. I just think it's funny that some really abrasive people seem to think he's the guy that's gonna go in there and be just as abrasive as they are. He's not; he's got more class than that, and that's good. I think he makes more gaffes than he needs to, but he's way far away from being the guy from Rage Against The Machine or something, who seems like the style a lot of people in this new activist world want in a leader.

I voted "yes, he does", by the way.

Plus I supported Dean in the primaries for a long time.

3. Just looked like it was in reference to something specific.
As an abrasive Dean supporter, I appreciate the fact that he's blunt yet more restrained than I am.

4. Well, as an abrasive Dean supporter....I am glad he is classy.
But then you don't know me, and my husband and kids and grandkids think I am pretty classy as well.

Sorry you think we are abrasive. But that's ok. Sometimes being really really nice just does not work.

5. The Dean of now is more like the real Dean
than the Dean of the primaries, which was largely a creation of Joe Trippi.

Because Dean was not being himself during the primaries, he tended to screw up as the pressure got more and more intense. Of course, his many fans loved him for his big mouth, but I don't think he was entirely comfortable shooting off his face like that.

What we have now is somebody more subdued. He may be under pressure to be that way from the party bigwigs, but I think we are seeing him behave more naturally.

6. Didn't vote because "more class than.." is just plain divisive
All the Dean supporters I know have a LOT of CLASS and so does Dean, so the whole question is a moot point to me.

I know some people were upset about his meeting with Cindy Sheehan, and then others were upset at Cindy for "her kiss and tell" comments.

Howard Dean was never a Joe Trippi "creation" in my view. One of the things I love about Dean is his authenticity.

I do think he is being restrained by Reid and Pelosi on policy issues.
Sometimes I wish he tell them to go to Hell, but he is truly trying to keep the Democratic Party united, and grow it at the same time.

I am very happy with Dean and I have never stopped supporting him. He is why I voted for Kerry - because Dean asked us to.

7. I was tempted to vote yes
since Dean wouldn't have lacked the class to post a poll like this, but then I remembered you are a former Dean supporter so I didn't vote at all.

8. Locking.
This is pointless and divisive.
