Is Rumsfeld ready to announce his resignation? (retirement)
I read a rumor a few days ago that he was thinking of stepping down. Doesn't the time seem about right?

1. A few years ago sounded about right
He should have taken a cue from Ashcroft and dragged his sorry ass back to the private sector.

2. I wonder
I wonder if Franklin has implicated Rummy and that's why the rumor has been floated?

What do you think?

3. I'm ready to accept his resignation.
About 2 years ago, I called the White House and complained about this old has-been. I couldn't believe I did that. It was right after the Abu Ghraib prison abuse scandal broke....I was livid.

I have read that RumsFailed is getting ready to hand in his resignation at the end of the month.

NOT A MOMENT TOO SOON.

4. He offered to resign. Bush wouldn't accept it. So he stayed. Twice.
Strange, huh? If I really wanted to quit there would be no stopping me.

Rumsfeld must be a real wuss.

6. time about right was March 03.
Hope he can't just fade into retirement. That'll be a disgrace for the entire world, the country, the soldiers and the innocent people that have died in Iraq.
