Here's the schedule for this week, from email.
Most of these are pre-recorded talks and lectures,
unless it says "live".

ALAN WATTS

Sunday, October 9, 2005, 8:30-9am: "Way Beyond the West" This is the
very first Watts program broadcast on KPFK, in fact it was made just for
us folks in Southern California when we opened KPFK in 1959. Alan had
been broadcasting at KPFA in Berkeley for 6 years and someone down here
had the bright idea of carrying his 'show.' So Alan broadcast a program
to tell us about his program and himself, who he is and what the show is
for. From Pacifica Radio Archives, 1 (800) 735-0230,
www.pacificaradioarchives.org Program #BB0527.01 (NOTE: Alan Watts
Sunday morning program will be pre-empted for the next two weeks for the
Fall Fund Drive to give extra time for the extremely generous Gospel
Music Audience to celebrate "Gospel Classics."

KPFK FALL FUND DRIVE

For the third and final time this year we turn to you for the funds to
keep this brash experiment going. Please consider how much of the
current world situation has been brought about by the lapdog media
maintaining an ignorant public at the behest of the criminal profit
takers and corporatists in power. Listener sponsorship hasn't prevented
this debacle, but it is a light in the darkness and a help in
maintaining an intelligent and informed opposition. KPFK listeners have
not been victimized by lack of information or misinformation which
passes for news in the mass media, nor the narrow view of culture,
health, and spirituality which most of our population is served. It is
your contribution which keeps this light going.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 10
(Pitch and Play)

12-1 Rolling Thunder had a single apprentice, Ken Cohen, who worked with
many indigenous elders from many traditions including Africa, Siberian,
Aboriginal, and Chinese. He is also a Qigong Master and worked with
Alan Watts. His CD "Native Wisdom: Seven Keys to Health and Happiness"
will be played and offered as a premium.

1-2:30 Fred Alan Wolf "Dr. Quantum: A User's Guide to Your Universe"
Session 3: What Consciousness Does. Applying the principle of
complementarity. The magician's boxes. The yogi and the quantum.
Fundraising.

2:30-4 Rick Jarow, "Your Life's Work: The Ultimate Anti-Career Guide
Session 5: From Feeling to Focus. Moving from the second to the third
chakra. Tracing the thread of passion. Dealing with 'shoulds.' Two
'thought experiments.' How to find your mentors. Henry David Thoreau.
The emergence of the ego and its intention. These Baskin-Robbins times.
Fundraising - if we don't do well, I'll be using these talks to find a
job I can do better.

4-5 Cynthia Kneen Redux
We'll be hearing excerpts from "Shambhala Warrior Training" which will
be a premium and my interview from last year with Cynthia which will
also be a premium.

5-5:30 Once again Dr. Madeleine Schwab is giving away 25 chances to
attend her unique Action Board Workshop ($50 pledge) According to the
late David Viscott MD, there is something you were born to do, which
only you can do, and which the world needs for you to do and will be
made better by your finding it. This workshop, held at KPFK, is
designed for you to find out what that is, to help organize your life to
open to the coincidences and chances the universe constantly feeds you
and to fulfill your actual purpose, which is what you actually desire.
For young or old, for those whose lives are overcrowded with too many
things to do and for those who have nothing to do and don't know what
they want to do. Madeleine is the only person who is carrying on this
work, which she originally learned from Dr. Viscott and which has
evolved over the years. It is easy and fun, all materials are provided
and all proceeds go to KPFK.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11

Support Program Chief Facilitator. She will discuss what an

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12

12-2 Dave Emory "For The Record #525: Interview with Sander Hicks
About'The Big Wedding" and pitch

1. This interview with author and publisher Sander Hicks highlights his
recently published book about 9/11 The Big Wedding. Like FTR#526, this
program description differs from other descriptions in length, content
and form. This interview reprised information covered in earlier
descriptions and involved a fair amount of rumination by Mssrs. Hicks
and Emory. The Big Wedding devotes considerable attention to the
complicity of elements of the Bush administration in the attacks.

2.Much of the first side of the program consists of discussion of sting
man Randy Glass, the point element in "Operation Diamondback." A
sometime operative on behalf of various organized elements, Glass and
his remarkable story is one of the most prominent and most important
elements in Sander's book. Indeed, Glass' account is one of the more
compelling indications of foreknowledge on the part of elements of the
government. For a riveting excerpt of the text of Big Wedding dealing in
detail with Randy Glass and Operation Diamondback, see FTR#500. Part of
side one of the program features Sander playing a tape recording of a
phone interview with Randy Glass.

3.Another of the important elements of discussion concerned the vitally
important work of the heroic Daniel Hopsicker, author of Welcome to
Terrorland. Daniel's work can be examined at length in numerous "For The
Record" programs and their descriptions. To examine excerpts of Daniel's
remarkable text, see FTR#'s 477, 482, 483, 484.

4.In addition, the program highlights Sander's investigation of Michael
Chertoff, the current head of the Department of Homeland Security.
Formerly in charge of Operation Green Quest (created to halt the flow of
terrorist finances), Chertoff was charged by Homeland Security employees
with having frustrated the investigation while working for the Justice
Department. (For more about this, see FTR#'s 462, 464.) That Chertoff
would behave in such a way is not surprising. As Sander illustrates in
The Big Wedding, Chertoff represented Dr. Magdy el-Amir, a New
Jersey-based physician who apparently financed Al Qaeda. For more about
the Chertoff/el-Amir relationship, see FTR#'s 495, 500.

5.Covering an area that few 9/11 investigators have touched, Sander sets
forth some of the Nazi and fascist connections to 9/11, including the
pivotally important al Taqwa milieu and the Islamofascist Muslim
Brotherhood. Highlighting Youssef Nada's links to the Third Reich and
his connections to the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Sander generously
credits Mr. Emory's work as a primary source for his information on the
international fascist links to 9/11. The Big Wedding also underscores
Francois Genoud's connections to the events in, and around, 9/11. For
more about Nada, Genoud, the Muslim Brotherhood and the Nazi and fascist
connections to 9/11, see-among other programs-FTR#'s 455, 456. NOTE THAT
CHAPTER NINE OF THE BIG WEDDING-CONTAINING THE ABOVE INFORMATION ABOUT
THE INTERNATIONAL FASCIST CONNECTIONS TO 9/11--IS AVAILABLE ONLINE AT:
http://www.sanderhicks.com/chapter9.html

6.When Mssrs. Hicks and Emory waxed philosophical, they discussed Hannah
Arendt's concept of the banality of evil, the culpability of both the
mainstream press and the so-called alternative media in covering up 9/11
and other stories, as well as Sander's republishing of J.H. Hatfield's
text Fortunate Son (an authorized biography of George W. Bush that
detailed the Bush/Bin Laden business connections). Fortunate Son is
excerpted in-among other programs-FTR#'s 248, 510.

7.Be sure to visit Sander's website: http://www.sanderhicks.com The
Big Wedding can be ordered there, or at your local retail bookstore.

2-4 Eben Rey, "Radio Alchymy"
Information and fundraising from the fringe.

4-5:30 Best of
Featuring the thusfar most popular and responded to public affairs
programs.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 13

For Thursday night people, another chance to express your generosity and
reap its rewards. We have a chance to hear an Alan Watts talk which has
never been broadcast and which, at this point, I have never heard
myself. We will also hear Herschel Lymon's "A Memorial Tribute to Alan
Watts" featuring John & Toni Lily and Laura Huxley and Alan Watts'
daughter talking about their friend or father who died in 1973. If
there is a good response, I will play a specialized Shinzen Young talk
which has never been broadcast and for the Krishnamurti people, we are
offering for the first time my 1983 interview with Krishnamurti with a
$50 pledge.

4-5:30 Caroline Casey - a regular show which we will interrupt to
collect some overdue pledges in support of these broadcasts. Keep in
mind that it is the result of a single supporter that we have been able
to broadcast her latest show, rather than the 2-3 week old programs we
had been broadcasting.

That's all folks!

Roy
