The real reason for Miers appointment
The republicans know they are over their heads in corruption and by appointing Harriet E. Miers they know they are safe to continue. They load the court with cronies and people that have fierce loyalty they are without any checks and balance system and the fascism will continue to grow.

1. Thats also why they had to cheat like hell and win in 2004
all the lies and crimes would be exposed otherwise, and with grave consequences...

5. Bush v. Gore was proof they already controlled it.
Miers & Roberts just keep the stranglehold in place.

7. Right, its about personal security
I see a great threat to George himself, securing SCOTUS with personal friends will ensure that any indictments are appealed up until highest court and then he is freed.

This woman makes Roberts looks like an ideal candidate, he had a lot of experience before the court.. she has JACK. No understanding of constitutional law.

9. it's also about CYA and self adulation
Georgie loves himself and thinks anyone that kisses his ass is perfect for what ever job they want. That said the party wouldn't have allowed it if it wasn't in their best interest. As always if it screws the best interest of the country all the better.

8. I liked the cartoon in our paper today
It said "She has all qualifications needed for a Supreme Court Justice. She's from Texas and a crony." Or something like that.
