Rove set for 2 indictments in Plame leak case!
Edited on Tue Oct-11-05 01:40 PM by skip fox
I think, in fact, that Rove may receive at least 2 indictments and others will receive at least one apiece. The numbers of leakers (original sources) and officials needed for confirmation of the story MILITATES planning. We know that there were 6 reported contacts or original sources (John Dean says 6; we know of two: Rove and Libby twice) and multiple (3-4) confirming sources, it becomes apparent what occurred. One administrative official discovered the Plame-Wilson-Niger relationship, took it to the White House Iraq Group, turned it over to Rove, who on the spot assigned tasks to different primary leakers/sources assuring no source called another source's contact (so as not to appear too eager), that no source's "pitch" was exactly the same but that their information was all given in an "off hand" manner (e.g., "Don't go too far out on this Wilson thing, I don't want you burnt").

To have 6 calls from 3 leakers is an indication of a coordinated endeavor. If there were the 6 leakers as Dean claims would make the case even more damning. But also consider the planning necessary to have enough confirming sources. Unsure of who the reporters may call to confirm, someone would have to make sure at least 2 other officials were ready and willing to confirm if called.

Therefore a master-mind would have been necessary to coordinate all these calls and confirmations (as many as 11 as was storied this summer).

They would have gone to Rove immediately and he, probably in an emergency of the White House Iraq Group, assigned the roles, the stories and the stances, etc.

So he not only leaked by was the mastermind of a conspiracy to leak.

We can only hope he lead a cover-up and committed perjury as well.

2. What are your sources?
Besides the obvious. I want confirmation that Rove is going down big time so that I can feel better that we got the corrupt nazis by the balls.

3. we should somehow agree that unless it's breaking news or
or a well-regarded rumor -- we should not raise people's hopes by subject lines like that...:)

6. I wonder
how much they are paying the person who takes out the trash at the WH? That has to be a highly qualified and well paid position! Rove created this cesspool and surely someone has used it indescriminately!Catch the one leaving the outhouse and get the real "poop scoop"!

7. Don't count the indictments before they are delivered
While I would celebrate the indictments, I can't help but remember the last five years of Bush and Rove in Washington. So many scandals, so many crimes, and absolutely nothing reaches the top. I am not even ready to chill the champagne over DeLay yet.

The Repugniks are among the best liars and scammers around. They have very good and expensive lawyers to help them spin it. These are the people who have been counted out and dead how many times? Yet, they are still there, still pushing their radical agenda, still moving forward while we look at each other and wonder how we failed.

Rush Limbaugh was caught Doctor Shopping, buying painkillers on the street, and doped out of his gourd, and yet he is a free man while his Attorney spins it all away. Each time they go before the Judge, they win another small battle in the case, and the case against him get's a little weaker. How long before the Prosecutor finally admits he can't spend the money to keep up with the Limbaugh Dream Team and throws in the towel because the case he is left with, part of a Medical record, a couple prescription records, and an eyewitness who first told the story for money to the National Enquirer, is too weak to continue?

If Rove and his Repugnik Attorneys can spin it, there will be no indictments, no firings, no nothing. I wouldn't be satisfied with a fired Rove, and you shouldn't either. What difference would it make if he was in the White House, or at Repugnik Party Headquarters on the phone issuing marching orders? DeLay and his Attorneys have already started to spin, pointing to the Prosecutor, and screaming that they are the victims of a Political Witch Hunt. Yes, I know it's absolute BS, but that isn't the point. The truth takes too long to get out there, and the big lie spreads like wildfire.

In the meantime, Senator Santorum while distracting us with the Harriet Myers nomination, is pushing to abolish the National Weather Service, in favor of Accu-Weather, which is located in his state no less. The Repugniks are pushing through the biggest Oil and Nuclear power benefit package in history, and Bush's war grinds on chewing up more people every day.

They distract us with the hype of a DeLay indictment, and get our hopes up with a Rove Indictment rumor, knowing we will be devastated after it washes out, further sapping our motivation, or determination, and making us weaker.

8. Rarely wrong in these matters.
Was in on many cases, including the talking points Lewinsky gave to Tripp, etc. (Google "skip Fox" and "talking points" if you want--we were on Burden of Proof, written ablut by Tom Oliphant, Joe Conoson, etc.)

Then on WMD not being there when many on this board warned me about the stance.

I might be wrong, but I'll non change my speech (nor would I try to force anyone else to change theirs except to reject their imperative).
