TX repuke driver got drunk at his alumni achievement award ceremony
And his wife/fellow repukes are already making excuses for him...

Brady was pulled over by a South Dakota state trooper just before midnight Friday after receiving an alumni achievement award from his alma mater, the University of South Dakota. The award was presented at a dinner where wine was served, and Brady later attended a reception with a cash bar.

<snip>

Brady's wife, Kathy, told KPRC-TV in Houston that she was in the car when he was pulled over about 100 feet from their hotel and that her husband learned a lesson to never drink and drive.

The arrest surprised Montgomery County Republican Chairman Wally Wilkerson Jr.

Brady "is not a drinker to my knowledge at all," he said. "I don't think he makes a habit of drinking and driving. It was a mistake. I think this is an isolated situation. It could have happened to any of us."

4. Couldn't have happened to me
I drink. I drive. But I never drink even one beer and drive.

When is this schmuck going to take responsibility.

6. He wore a bulletproof vest at a town hall meeting--claims "death threat"
but has no problem getting behind the wheel of a 2 ton vehicle, drunk, putting everyone **else's life at risk.**

http://web.baytownsun.com/story.lasso?wcd=23256

U.S. Rep. Kevin Brady, R-Texas, who wore a bulletproof vest while he attended meetings in Jasper, Newton, Deweyville and Buna on Monday plans to visit Orange, Vidor, Kountze and Woodville on Tuesday.

Brady spokeswoman Sarah Stephens said Brady had received a death threat, but wouldn’t go into specifics. She said the Texas Department of Public Safety asked Brady to wear the vest.

As Brady stepped up to the church altar, four DPS troopers lined up in front of the lectern, separating the congressman and other federal officials from the rural residents who say their needs have been neglected.

9. Sounds like a "ploy" to me! Trying to gain sympathy instead of facing
the charge of driving while intoxicated!

7. That cheeses me off
Drunk driving laws are so strict on us peasants that if you get caught once, you lose your liscense for at least 6 months. Who wants to bet he'll get a wrist slap?

8. Maybe he should run for President. Being a drunk driver was on Bush's
very short list of being qualified for the office.
