Freeper/Protest Warrior Trustee quits before he get's fired
Edited on Wed Oct-12-05 05:11 PM by joefree1
Trustee who made controversial comments on Web site quits.

HYDE PARK- The Board of Education Tuesday unanimously accepted the resignation of board member Kevin Post, who missed a number of meetings while fellow trustees voiced concern over comments he had posted on a conservative Web site.

Post's resignation letter, dated Sept. 22, was received by the district clerk on Oct. 6, board President Kevin Sheehan said.

edit ...
Post has acknowledged posting statements to the Free Republic Web site under the user name kphockey2, which has since been banned by the site because of derogatory comments about same-sex couples and anti-war protesters. He also made references to "leftist scum" and boasted of being a "protest warrior," part of a group that "infiltrates" other groups that oppose right-wing ideals.

One photograph apparently posted to the site by the former trustee showed a sniper aiming a high-powered rifle and wearing a black T-shirt inscribed with the phrase, "When all else fails, vote from the rooftops."

1. Doesn't kphockey2 get to enjoy "freedom of expression" on his
own time, in his own way, even if he is an idiot and a pig?

2. Lucky for the School board he was also a deadbeat
After missing six meetings he was on his way to be ousted. But the School board was right in being concerned about a Trustee who advocated shooting people from the roof tops.

4. it sounds like he freely expressed his resignation...
"My wife and I wish to extend our sincere thanks to the taxpayers for their overwhelming support in the past election," Post wrote. "Regrettably, I am resigning my position as school board trustee for the Hyde Park Central School District due to family reasons effective 5:29 p.m. September 22, 2005."

And you're absolutely right...they should have waited until he was on the roof of the school with a machine-gun to bring his public statements to the light of day.

8. Advocating shooting people from the roof-top goes beyond
"freedom of expression". Also, he admits "deceiving" his constituents.

Anyway, he resigned because he is a cockroach who had the light of day focused on him. The system worked.

3. He was banned from Free Republic for derogatory statements about
same-sex couples?

BULLSHIT.

He was banned for calling unwanted attention to the site.

EVERYBODY there makes derogatory statements about same-sex couples. They call everyone who isn't awash in the kool aid "leftist scum". He was banned for it my ass.

If FR banned people for bashing same-sex couples, they wouldn't have a single poster left.

7. And you can bet the Freeps are formulating a conspiracy already....
....since Cindy Sheehan seems to have replaced the almighty Clenis as their scapegoat-for-every-fucking-thing-wrong this week.

6. Thanks for the update on this.
He’s the guy who voted against free/reduced lunch for children who qualified for it.
