3. Stop throwin buckets a cold water! lol

here, have a drink... :toast:

Those numbers ARE significant. In the recent past, both parties in congress were equal as far as unfavorable numbers. This is a big shift.

6. Aw, someone has to
nail your feet to the ground, dammit.

Don't be such a cheap date. Those are meaningless numbers, translating to nothing significant. Designed simply to lure your attention away from the big issues of the day.

It's not about the numbers right now, keep that in mind.

14. Well, it's nice to hear something different
Every little thing that plants the idea in folks' minds that it's okay to dissent, or that their fellow citizens are thinking in a new way, gives them permission to try it, too. When the news and the announcements are so relentlessly one-sided, as they have been for the last five years, it's difficult to change people's minds.

What's remarkable about this poll for me is that with the Mighty Republican Wurlitzer still wheezing away, pumping the corrupt Bush administration and its henchmen in Congress for all it's worth, people are still concluding that it's time for the Democrats.

Imagine what the numbers might be without the 24 hour propaganda machine or some actual balance in the reportage, or some real muscle in the Democratic opposition. The poll doesn't mean anything concrete and isn't an end in itself. But as one must learn to walk before one can run, people's minds must be prepared to change before they will effect a lasting change in their attitudes and perceptions. This poll can help bring that about.

15. Polls
Yeah, they all had Kerry winning, too. Remember?

Polls are worthless, and simply distractions. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Actions count - not polls.

17. You know........
I'm like the skunk at the garden party, huh?

But, remember the crash after the '04 Presidential election was stolen? And then the even worse crash when Kerry didn't contest anything, and the electors just went ahead and voted?

I do not like crashes. I like the DU folks. If I have to be the skunk to keep them from getting too carried away without any real information, I'll do it.

Because those crashes are not good for anyone.

On the other hand, if it turns out to be like Watergate was (I really am old), well, then, pass me that fattie and let us proceed to rock.................

19. "What did the President know,
and when did he know it?"

Those were, for sure, grand days.

I was in my first year of law school. How's that for an education? That summer, I worked for Terry Lenzner at the Committee. Amazing.

4. In order for the Dems to take control, people have to realize that
they have to actually VOTE for Dems.

But still...:bounce:

8. And All Those Votes For Dems Have To Be COUNTED!
Will they try to steal next year's election, even though they are polling in the 30s? Would the media cover for them again?

YOU BET THEY WOULD!

We need REAL elections with REAL ballots!

NO MORE
