*Breaking* Bush Replaces Miers with Umpire Doug Eddings
Today President Bush pulled his nomination of Harriett Miers for the Supreme Court and replaced her with Doug Eddings who made the controversial game altering call in last night's ALCS game.

Bush said that it appeared that "Harry" wasn't going to be confirmed so since John Roberts had said that being a justice was like being an umpire, he chose Eddings. "Like me, Doug knows how to stand by his bad calls. And God told me it would be OK."

Upon being reached on his way to Anaheim, Eddings said that was fine with him, but worried if the Senate would ask him about his glasses and hearing aid.
