Had actual film of this Barber woman standing at shrubbies podium in the studio coaching the troops pre- video conference with *.

11. It was staged
And the audience was chosen to use the supposedly impartial politically uniforms to buttress up Bush's failed policy of building an imperialistic client state out of Iraq.

21. That's the real kicker for me
None of us are surprised it was rehearsed and staged. But the fact that they said it would be impromptu before hand...ah, that is too funny!

Jon Stewart would have a hilarious time with this stuff. Hope he hits it next week.

13. And they see nothing wrong with it being staged...!
People are dying for lies told by this Administration and they "pretend" they can "sell" it like it was a frigging bar of soap.

14. Here's the story from Reuters:
"...In a carefully scripted event, Bush spoke to 10 U.S. troops and an Iraqi soldier in a video teleconference about preparations for the Saturday vote, which is critical to U.S. aims for democracy in Iraq and creating conditions for the ultimate withdrawal of American forces.

<snip>

Before Bush entered the room for the event, a senior Pentagon official had a practice session with the troops and went over topics the president later asked about.

<snip>

During the practice session before Bush entered the room, a senior Pentagon official, Allison Barber, stood at the podium and queried the troops about topics the president later asked about, including the training of Iraqis and the level of progress. At her prompting, the soldiers raised their hands when the topic they were to answer came up.

Barber insisted later the questions were not rehearsed. The military had been told ahead of time only about topics the president might want to talk about, not specific questions..."

:rofl: :popcorn: :rofl:

15. Ohmigosh, this has NEVER happened before!
Not the canned crowd or the coaching of the questioners, but the reporting of same. Let's face it, the media have aided and abetted this criminal administration for years, fully cooperating in the dog-and-pony show "press conferences" with the pre-screened questions and the scripted calls.

When even the Wizard's tools aren't cooperating, the man behind the curtain looks even smaller, more venial, and a bigger humbug than ever.
