Unbelievable!!! NBC nightly news
First big story tonight given more than 3 minutes on the scripted exchange today with the troops. Went on and on about the numerous scripted news conferences and how they were told this would be a completely spontaneous exchange and the soldiers could say what they want. Not...............

Oh, how I love the unraveling of shrub!!!

4. Everyone on DU knows
They have always done it this way. It's bizarre they're reporting it now. I guess enough rich republicans are turning on bush.

I can't wait for the end of this administration. Hopefully coming soon.

13. Yep! Stoopid or just plain dangerous and evil!

"If the president knew there were no weapons of mass destruction and knew there was no connection between Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein, and if the president knew the Iraqis were not involved in the attack on the twin towers and still allowed our nation to believe that we had to invade Iraq for it, then I’m a lawyer and a former federal prosecutor, and these are impeachable offenses,"

11. not so hasty! President Bush has done well (if you hate freepers!)
noone one earth has done as much to expose the tapeworm of rightwing stupidity as our president.....if geeb (bush family nick for junior, a reference to brother john ellis bush, or 'jeb') can finish his term, the american people will be totalled, and maybe that will infuse a little humility and empathy in the people who admired a doofus like reagan, or a class warrior like bush senior, or geeb himself! During the Clinton years, people must have noticed the bizarre wrath the tapeworm expressed towards Clinton, despite Clinton's contribution towards their wealth. This suggest a deep rooted nastiness within the body politic, which the ruling elite knew about and kept encaged, for the gopig's own good as well as the larger society. Bush has taken a certain prediliction in usa politics and given it free rein! While the cost is prohibitive, the very existence of such a nasty parasitic element hiding within the bowels of the country is a revelation: most americans live paycheck to paycheque and working people poor and the black vastly outnumber the gopigs (and always have) yet even we here at DU still take foxnews and cnnt and rush limbah-humbug and bill owhorelly and the endless variations of mediawhore in every news organ in the country seriously, while working people and the poor etc have no media representation at all!
Bush has made it possible to change this. Most media should exhibit a leftwing, anti corporate anti boss bias, if any, and there should be attack dogs like limbah-humbug ATTACKING limbah-humbug and all the rest of them...the biggest lie of all is that there is a 'powerful' rightwing that operates naturally. The only reason the rightwing is powerful is because we let them wage war on us, generation after generation...

12. I wish we could ration this stuff a little bit
It's getting some play, but not what it warrants. Would be nice to unleash this during a slow period next year.

and I just posted on another thread how I could NOT believe that FINALLY the MSM was getting on this. Better late than never??? At any rate, it made my day. That photo op/teleconference fell flatter than a pancake IMHO.

17. If only they had done this before the Election
There were some local TV news stations around the nation doing stories on Bush's staged campaign rallies, but nobody from the major networks.
