Brian Williams Slams the Dress Rehersal
Brian Williams Slams the Dress Rehersal
October 13th, 2005

Brian Williams tells it like it happened - today’s dress rehersal before the scheduled telecasted Bush rally with the troops in Iraq…

My day, at least editorially, started just after I’d chosen a spot on the couch for the 9:30 a.m. editorial daily planning meeting. I arrived early and was finishing up the newspapers when an e-mail came into my BlackBerry — it was from a producer in our control room, watching the incoming feed from Iraq. The President was minutes away from what was billed to us as a “give and take…a back and forth” with soldiers on the ground in Iraq. The e-mail said they were rehearsing their answers to the President’s questions. It went on to say they were receiving coaching from yet-unnamed government officials on HOW to deliver their lines once the President appeared.

Give me a break. I'm glad they are finally saying something but what took them so long?

2. Could it be a warning?
If anyone could bring down this misadministration, it's the MSM. They've been shilling for bush all along, and no doubt covering up little gaffes like this. There are rumors circulating that bush and cheney are at war with one another. Maybe the powers that be in control of the MSM are siding with darth cheney and let this one out as a little demonstration? Just letting a little slack on the leash before taking the muzzle off?

4. Brian Williams comes out of hibernation, more like it.
Where ya been Brian? Where's the so-called journalism industry been? We're taking names by the way...
