Republicans, backed into a corner, come out snarling...
They are on the defensive and that is not a good place for their opponents. Be on the lookout for personal attacks, attacks on the liberal media, attacks on the "baby killers", the "criminalization of politics", and more BS and lies about how great they are doing. In reality, they suck louder than Hurricane Katrina. But, they are blinded by partisanship and have been for at least three decades. As our people continue to die in an unnecessary war, as inflation rears its ugly head, as the survivors from our national disasters are scattered to and fro, as millions more sink into poverty, as the division becomes almost inflammable, as the nations debt on our children soars to hew heights, as the Republicans dodge indictments and propagandize and lie to our faces, yes, they have a reason to snarl.

1. Things are going to get ugly (uglier?) for sure...
But the Repukes have brought it all on themselves. As the saying goes--Democrats can't get elected, Republicans can't govern. Boy, can they ever not govern.

5. Republicans can't govern
because governing is not their priority. LOOTING is their priority.

3. Problem for them is...
as the economy continues to fall apart, especially amongst the "red state" lower class whites who are their margin of victory, and the body bags continue to come home from Iraq, all their vitriolic nastiness will fall on deafer and deafer ears.
You can fool some of the people some of the time...

10. Exactly..
... a lot of folks here think that the Red State rank and file will always fall for the God, Guns and Gays ruse.

Not when they can't afford gas and food at the same time they won't.

A lot of the economic devastation wrought by Republican policies has flown under the radar of the average American. Those days are over.

4. Republicanism is in its death throes.
We are witnessing a schism in that party that will reverberate for years. It is now the NeoCon/Fundies vs the Conservatives and it all came to a head with the Miers nomination. SCOTUS is the only reason conservatives put up with *co.

7. There has to be a fine line when using vitriol
When one has control over the media, the message, the government, one can use vitriol quite effectively.

HOWEVER, when out of control of one's emotions, one is out of control of the vitriol. This is where the Pukes are now. They have lost their focus. Now, instead of making what appear to be pithy arguments, they look like paranoid tyrrants who will attack anyone for anything.

Their pundits are lashing out blindly, and so are they. They are going to lose it all to spite themselves.

8. When a dog is backed into a corner, and snarls
and looks ready to attack (and will if the one cornering it gets too close) is called a "fear biter."

That's what the Repigs have become. They are AFRAID of what is coming and will do anything to avoid it. It's coming anyway.

9. And they don't know who to bite first.
Whereas a month ago they were still snarling at democrats, now they are just biting anyone within range. Coulter went off on the chimp a couple of days ago and the spittle was flying. Had he been next to her, she would have ripped a chunk out of him with her impressive fangs. Reminded me of one of those women in the old vampire movies who was suddenly hit by sunlight, LOL.
