Morris last night: Hillary "SHOE IN" for nomination. Only Condi beats
Did you see this last night on Kasich? Dick Morris said "Hillary will positively run and will win!" ONLY person who can defeat her in the election is Rice.

What???

22. Either way, he's full of shit.
HRC is doing the smart thing, which is keeping her mouth shut. The more the VRWC thinks she's running, the more manhours and resources they expend on her, and that's a good thing.

Mark my words; HRC ain't running for shit in '08.

6. Let Dick Morris wank over his obsession with Bill and Hillary.
The Dems will nominate someone else, and (hopefully) we will win.

10. Wrong Other Way Around
I think Hillary can win the nomination. I do not really think she will win the nomination. I think many Democrats who have not been polled are feed up with her trying to appease Republicans and will vote for someone else. However, if she does win the nomination Condi Rice will not beat Clinton. I contend too many white Republican, mainly in the South, but just about everywhere, will not vote for Rice because she is black. Clinton does not need large numbers of Republicans to vote for her, she just needs them to not come to the polls and vote. I may be wrong, but as of now I think if Condi runs many white Republicans will either stay home and not vote, or they will vote for Hillary.

I contend that even if Bush supports Condi and makes appearances with her the Republicans will not support her. In addition, I do not think Condi will be able to get out of the primaries. Condi would have to run against the most corrupt Republican to win the nomination and even then I think it might be hard for her to win. Once again I may be wrong, but at this time I am much more worried about Susan Collins or another white female Republican like Kay Baily Hutchinson running for President against Hillary Clinton.

I understand that there is the black vote, but I do not believe Condi can get much more of the black vote than any other Republican. From what I have heard many blacks are very feed up with Condi and the mistakes she made. Another way to hurt Condi with the black vote is to point out her response to the Katrina disaster. She responded to the disaster by going to see plays and shop for shoes. Some blacks as mad as the are at Bush for the way he handled the situation might be even madder at Rice. You kind of understand Bush's response to the disaster because he has done this type of thing before and he is white (not that white people do not care about black people), but Condi is black she should have cared what was happening to the people of New Orleans. It just seems like even if nobody cares about you somebody from your own race would care about you. That may hurt her.

29. I agree with that stuff
Condi won't run because she understands she could never get nominated in that party. If she did get nominated, Hillary or anyone else would defeat her.

I still think Hillary vs. a white GOP male is a very difficult race to handicap. Would she get the traditional Democratic support while also retrieving white females who drifted to the GOP due to national security concerns, or is the country at base instinct still not ready for a woman president?

More imporatntly, he's rarely right about anything, and he is obsessed with the Clintons. He's a dirtbag of the first order, and deserves massive ignorage.

15. The jerk wrote an ENTIRE BOOK about it.

Morris' fear is that if the Clintons fade away into (relative) obscurity, he won't get any more work. Let's face it...working for the Clintons was the only credibility he has. If they go away, he'll be an unemployed right wing gasbag.

18. the only one she could beat is Condi
If HRC gets the nomination (answering the Republican prayers), dozen of Republicans would beat her in, but Condi is not one of them. Red-Stater racism trumps their simple Republicanism.

24. This is what happens when you spend years sniffing a prostitute's foot
rather than paying attention to the world around you. Dick Morris remains stuck in his own masturbatory fantasy world, unable to grasp the extent to which he has made an utter fool of himself. He has no grasp of how unpopular Hillary is not only with Republicans, but with the Democratic base these days.

As for the Condi Rice hobbyhorse, many Republicans like her as Secy. of State-- but a nomination of her would send them erupting in rage. It's not just that the Iraq fiasco is leaving an ugly stain on her record-- she's also pro-choice and in favor or race preferences, which would send the GOP base into ballistic overdrive. There's one thing that both Hillary and Condi have in common-- they both have somehow managed to enrage people across the political spectrum, for different reasons. Repubs hate Hillary because her last name is Clinton-- no more explanation needed-- while Dems are furious at her over her fulsome support for war in the Middle East and her kowtowing to corporate outsourcing at the expense of US jobs. As for Rice, Republicans dislike her because her views are waaaay out of touch with their base, while Dems abhor her because of her close involvement in the Iraq debacle and her current attempts to smear Iran in preparation for a US invasion.

25. Dickie-boy, go find a rock and hide behind it
Even in the inescapably cruel and bloodsport world of smearing pundits, the cruelty directed at Dick Morris hits new thresholds of pain. In this case, nonetheless, it's well-deserved. The amount of damage that Dickie-boy did to the Clintons, and the verbal drivel he continues to spew out, make him truly one of the most abhorrent figures in the whole punditocracy, and that's saying a lot.

If he still had a handful of functioning brain cells, he'd learn to keep his mouth shut. He's making a fool of himself well beyond anything his harshest critics could have accomplished. It's gonna be open season on him until he truly learns the essential lesson that he's an idiot.

27. He's got that backward. Condi's the only one HRC's polling close to
She's within the margin of error with Condi - - all the other GOPers are polling to win in a landslide against HRC.

None of us should be surprised Dick Morris got it wrong, though...
