I'm thinking its maybe BIGGER than the bigger we were thinking it was |
|
I'm thinking there just might be enough, with the flipping of "insert name here", to lead a trail of bread crumbs all the way PAST just fabricating lies to invade Iraq. I'm thinking, if carefully done, Fitz COULD have back to the Sibel Edmunds gagged info, and the hands off approach to the known terrorists who pulled off 9/11
Dont' get me wrong, I'm still ultimately preparing for much less....but if someone truly does turn, and that person is high enough, do you think they would turn on whether bushco intentionally caused/allowed 9/11?
That would be spectacular.
on the other hand, I'm just thrilled at watching the mounting flop sweat and the anti-dorian gray-ing of the pretzeldent.

7. If martial law is declared.....they lose. |
|
The time to pull that might have been 18 months or more ago....when Bush still had believers. Now, the media has begun to turn, and everyday brings new evidence of criminal complicity. Any "event" leading to martial law will not be accepted by the American people. I think that would only hasten their end and might even increase the probability of a most unhappy ending for the junta.

They're all in Iraq! This would all be so funny if it weren't incredibly sad.

13. And if the military can't control Iraq, how are they going to control US? |
|
Iraq is the size of California.
They'll probably try some bully tactics (confiscation of guns...such a phallic step that) and other nonsense, but they can't control fifty states to any degree with regular military.

19. Oh sure, that'd be just the thing to bring the gun nuts in line - |
|
confiscate their precious, beloved, almighty frickin' guns. Yep, THAT would be the way to fire up "the faithful." I'd love to see them try that. We'd have a whole slew of brand new Dems-for-a-Day.

21. You know, Katrina exposed the state of a military presence . . . |
|
in the U.S. I don't believe it could be done at the current state of the military. Hell, they had to pull from so many states just to field an adequate National Guard presense!

Likewise presidential pardons. Forget them. Bush tries them and they'll go down even quicker.

20. Yeah, but somehow I feel their just nutty enough to try it. |
|
When your deluded into believing you have a divine right to rule, well, what's to stop them from creating the scenario they need to establish "martial" law? They've already proven that they really don't care what people think.

6. Abramoff will tie every top Republican to the Mafia... |

He is the really big show, and there are no "classified information" problems there. A plain old fashioned grifter and thug, with the virtually every Washington Republican in his pocket. Oh, the tales he will tell!

The Republican Party is the 21st century Mafia. They are organized crime, only they use legislation instead of bullets to get their way. George HW "Don Corlenone" Bush presides at the front of the table.
Cue "Godfather's" music here....

5. It won't go to 9/11. Doesn't have to. |

USING our anguish over 9/11 to push us into a pre-planned war is more than enough.

12. We need it to be big, really big |
|
Not causing 9/11. Come on.
But this needs to be something long lasting and pivotal, widespread staining the GOP with a memorable name similar to Watergate and hearings/revelations deep into 2006. Right now this is nothing, an impactful lifespan of a few months tops.

16. That thought crossed my mind, too, but it was in the form of a wish |
|
I was thinking, "if they're really focussing on Cheney, they may run across some really interesting stuff about who was behind 9/11." But I don't see that question being solved for a long time--they protect themselves too well.
