TWEETY REPORT: Oct. 18, 2005 "DA for the Defense" & "Foot in Mouth"
Edited on Tue Oct-18-05 04:55 PM by McCamy Taylor
If you missed the Tweety Report today, you missed:

Tweety explaining that VP Cheney would never do anything illegal. Bonus feature, multiple walk throughs of VP Cheney telling Scooter Libby "Go tell the Press that Wilson's wife (who as far as I know is just a secretaray at the CIA) sent him to Niger, not me", until Tweety came up with one that sounded plausible enough to impress a jury.

Tweety turning a whiter shade of pale as Pat Buchanan gleefully explained that EVERYONE AND THEIR CAT knew that the Niger Uranium documents were forgeries all along and that Wilson only went to Niger to get even more conclusive proof of what EVERYONE inlcluding the CIA already knew (this after Tweety asked whiningly "Why didnt the CIA spot the Niger documents as forgeries (before Bush cited them in the State of the Union Address)?") Sometimes talking too
fast can trap the one with the motor mouth. Bonus points when Buchanan included in his list of people who had a reason to forge the Niger Documents---THE NEO-CONS. YOu just know that Tweety wished he had not asked that one.

until I SEE the "whites" of their eyes, I won't hold my breath!!

This may ALL, as has happened FAR TOO MANY TIMES in the past, simply have been a HUGE build up to NOTHING!

Remember the REAL PEOPLE playing HARDBALL are All The Presidents Men! And they play down and dirty, nose to the grindstone and VICIOUS!!

Bad, Nasty Individuals! I don't trust ANYTHING they say or do!!!

5. The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence
Edited on Tue Oct-18-05 05:45 PM by creeksneakers2
- a GOP controlled committee, included in its report the fact that the idea of the Iraqis trying to buy uranium from Niger was discounted by the CIA and Cheney was told this. The GOP committee report goes on to say that the reason the CIA didn't report Wilson's trip to Cheney himself was that everybody already knew the story about Iraqi attempts to buy uranium weren't true. The question that has never been asked is why, if Cheney knew the story was bogus, did he ask for more information, unless he wanted to hear something different from the truth? Tweety should read the report.

Also, the report says when the Niger documents arrived at the CIA, the analysts laughed at them. One document that was included was about some far fetched plot where Iraq and Iran conspire to attack the whole world and run the whole conspiracy throught the Iraqi embassy in Rome. Nobody at the CIA took those documents as anything but a joke. Tweety should read the report and know this.

Good thing Pat put Tweety in his place!

7. Watched it again. Third reason. Buchanan reminds Tweety "Perjury"
Edited on Tue Oct-18-05 06:27 PM by McCamy Taylor
when Tweety is trying to convince himself that they wont be able to make a criminal case out of merely lying about WMDs.

Oh, Buchanan was having so much fun.
