Venezuelan Attorney General: CIA Implicated in Murder of Venezuelan Judge
Our country does bad stuff ... killing, training killers and disrupting or overthrowing sovereign governments is NOT OK even when it's done for "the national interest" unless those governments pose an imminent threat to the US or its allies ...

using the CIA to make oil producing countries more pliabe or more puppet-like is despicable ...

we don't know what really happened in Venezuela (see article below) but why aren't we seeing anything about this in the US press or hearing calls from Democrats to investigate the incident? one would think unlawful foreign policy would be of some concern to them ...

"The CIA advised, with all of its experience, the method for carrying out this terrorist act," said Attorney General of the Republic, Isaiah Rodriguez, in regard to the participation of the Central Intelligence Agency in the murder of Judge Danilo Anderson.

Once again, he said that the criminal attack, committed on the 18th of November, 2004, was part of a conspiracy to carry out two assassinations: one against himself and another against President Hugo Chávez, but the original plan was never carried out because the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia and the CIA handlers warned of the risks such a plan involved.

"They then turned their attention to a person involved with the investigation that had less security and so was more vulnerable, and that person was Danilo Anderson. For this reason, the CIA is involved with the death of Anderson," insisted Attorney General Rodriguez.

To be precise, the Attorney General said that the participation of the CIA consisted of the presence of its agents at meetings in Panama and Miami held to plan Anderson's murder, and so the Justice Ministry had no jurisdiction to take action. The Attorney General says that, in any case, the participation of the CIA and the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia demonstrate that the death of Anderson resulted from an act of international terrorism.

2. are the Dems complicit in this stuff ??
maybe all this garbage goes on in the deep, dark recesses of the CIA and Congress, and certainly not Dems, are kept well out of the loop ...

does that seem credible? or do some or all elected Dems know exactly how US foreign policy is being conducted?

and if they, and if this story and tons more like it are true, where do we turn for representation that doesn't condone this crap???

that it's going on is certainly no surprise; that there's virtually no opposition is a little more disturbing ...

3. Ted Kennedy was one of the strongest voices against this sort of thing
back in the days of Pinochet.

I don't know who the other champions of justice in the Democratic party are.
