With all the accompanying waste of money, lives, and lose of respect as a world leader? It seems most on DU think it's ok for our Dem "leaders" to continue to support keeping our troops in Iraq (even though Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11), that it's ok for the troops to keep getting blown up or maimed for life, and that it's ok to spend hundreds of billions on the military while poorer Americans starve or freeze to death - because it's the "smart" political thing to do.
