Is Beatty California's latest political hopeful?
Longtime liberal actor Warren Beatty is leading the charge against Republican governor and former "Terminator" action film star Arnold Schwarzenegger, who wants Californians to curtail union power, state spending and teacher rights in a November 8 special election, a year before he seeks re-election.

Schwarzenegger likes to call his opponents "Girlie-men" and Beatty, once Hollywood's most famous "ladies man," says he is unafraid of either the nickname or the movie action hero who happily killed an alligator in one scene and declared, "You're luggage."

"You can call me a girlie-man or a stooge, or you can say my last picture didn't make money. That may be true," Beatty recently told the New York Times.

2. Will he do it as "Bullworth"?

I'd love to see him go on news shows and rap and cuss.

(In case you're not familiar with "Bullworth", it was a 1997 film where Beatty plays a burnt-out senator in a heated election fight who, due to lack of sleep and food goes nuts, starts spouting the truth about how Washington works, and develops a fascination for rap music and it's culture, which he displays in public. A well-done political satire.)

3. My favorite...
movie of all time! Let Beatty go for it. If we're going to have an actor let's at least make it a good one.

4. At least let it be a humanitarian....
not a fake like that Ahhnold and Maria. Hope Ahhnold ends up like Jessie Ventura, a big time loser.
