2. Halliburton's bottom line and so soccer moms can off road.
Gotta fill up that SUV and minivan to get the little brats to practice and that local DAR, PTA or "Americans for the advancedment of a more sterile society" meeting.

4. bush mistakenly believed that it would be a "splendid little war"
that would pay enormous dividends with little or no risk. Most americans believed this too.

12. I think Halliburton and the Carlyle Group are making a ton of money
off this war. The bush family is indeed connected to the Carlyle Group where daddy bush used to be president of the The Carlyle boys. And we all know cheney's connection with Halliburton. They have done quite well, I'd say!!

7. Truer words...
"It's not a matter of whether the war is not real, or if it is, Victory is not possible. The war is not meant to be won, it is ment to be continuous. Hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance. This new version is the past and no different past can ever have existed. In principle the war effort is always planned to keep society on the brink of starvation. The war is waged by the grueling group against its own subjects and its object is not the victory over either Eurasia or East Asia but to keep the very structure of society intact."

thank you George Orwell and Michael Moore

8. How about if we ask the war's supporters how many are enough?
I mean, there exists a limit beyond which the number is too high, right? It just varies from person to person, from group to group. For some the number is zero. For others, who knows?

For myself, any deaths were too many after the point where I understood there were neither WMD's nor a connection to al Qaeda in Iraq. It's just that in my case and in most of our cases, that was understood before the war began.

Obviously, 1,000 deaths was not enough to deter the war's supporters. Neither was 1,500, nor apparently is 1,992. So, what is enough? Two thousand? Three? Ten?

For what results will they have died? A democratic, independent and secure Iraq? Truly?

It would be great if all the noble words Ms. Rice and others mouth had some relation to reality but they don't. It's unforgivable that others must die to maintain their pretense.
