What do we do when Bush fires Fitzgerald? |
|
Edited on Thu Oct-20-05 09:23 PM by mistertrickster
Fitzgerald works for the Justice Department. His boss is Bush butt-kiss Alberto "Gonzo" Gonzales.
Bush can fire Fitzgerald just like Nixon fired Archibald Cox (and who carried out the sentence? none other than right-wing POS Robert Bork).
So . . . what do we on the left do when Team Bush whacks the prosecutor?
I say, million man march on Washington and shut the place down, peacefully of course.

3. Not so sure about peacefully |
|
because they will fire on us.
Once they turn on the microwave weapons, I think peaceful will go by the wayside.

5. What makes you think * is going to fire him? |

Look, the cabal are doing some pretty blatant shit, and the papers would have a field day with this scenario.

However, do you want to know the truth? I am not sure I have the courage at 64 years old to join you. I would try though.

19. WOW! That's all news to me, NMac! Very interesting. |
|
That makes it look iron-clad.
The thing is, there're laws against wars of aggression too--and that didn't stop W. There's a law that only Congress can send troops to war. There're laws against election fraud and, well, what do you think?
Since when does law stop this administration from doing what it wants to?

My bet is that Bush is seriously considering this option at this time. He is a gambler and he would take his chances that he could explain it to enough of his supporters that he would not lose a lot if he did fire the Prosecutor. He may do just that. I would not be surprised.

|
Not directly--I believe he ordered the Solicitor General, Robert Bork to fire him. I do not know whether that is operative in this case.

23. If I remember right, the Atty General, Mitchel, was in jail, so Nixon |
|
demanded that the Deputy (Acting AG) fire him, But the Dep AG Richardson said no and resigned, so Nixon appointed Gray, who also said no and resigned, then Nixon Appointed Bork to be Acting AG, and Bork fired Cox. I may have Richardson and Gray reversed.

He's gotta be tired of the scene by now. I think he'd be happy to split, go back to Texas, take a swig or three, cut some brush, and ride his bike. I mean, Georgie must be thinking, "Who needs this sh**?!"
