Here is a hint: What long awaited report was going to be delivered in 3-27-03? Answer, the FERC Report about Enron and others price gouging of California, price gouging made possible because W. rolled back price caps set in place by Clinton, price goiging which Cheney laughed at and which Karl Rove's pick for FERC head refused to acknowledge.

I have been suggesting that THIS is the reason that 3-20-2003 was chosen for the invasion date since 3-2003, but few people have been cynical enough to believe me.

Now, in light of everything that we know about how this administration, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney and Scooter Libby work, does anyone really believe that they would hesitate to schedule the invasion of Iraq to provide a media smokescreen to cover up one of the biggest scandals of the Bush administration? They didnt go to war for this reason, but since they were going to war anyway, why not time the invasion for when it would do them to most good?

Because we had just gone to war, this Mother of all Stories, got wide coverage in Calfornia and was consigned to the Business section everywhere else.

This is pertinent, because it might explain why they decided to run with a previously discredited story about uranium.
