What are the chances there will be no indictments?
Seriously, I ask this because I am constantly impressed with the insight and knowledge of my fellow DUers and if next week comes and these bastards slime out of this one I'll just be crushed.
Reading through all this it appears like it will be a slam dunk but I'm curious what you all think.

1. In the betting parlors, not as good as they were a month ago
NYT's in a not entirely unambiguous way indicated that Rove and Libby have been warned they are in legal jeopardy.

2. Zero
Every day a perusal of the NYT and WAPO makes it pretty clear someone or ones are going to get the book thrown at them. And there may be a veritable buffet of charges. Fitzgerald opened up the scope of the investigation and thats the last thing republicans wanted anyone to do. Too bad he wasn't around for Iran-Contra.

3. IMO I think there will be
indictments but I think it will be Libby and maybe Rove. I do not think Cheney or Bush.

4. Probably Libby. Maybe Rove.
But definitely not Cheney or Bush. Both will emerge unscathed.

16. That's how I handicap it
Although 'unscathed' is generous. They are stained by the scandal and will continue to be.

5. Check out this message string.
We had a lively discussion on the subject here:

I am convinced there will be indictments. There are reasonable pepole who disagree, however.

9. Libby maybe but what a fire storm that will be.
I do not think Cheney would like that and I think he is very powerful. Do you recall how mad Baker was when he had to give up S.of State to save father Bush? Always giving up stuff for Bush and his father seems to become a dull deal for some.

10. Zero
Just as the chances there will be indictments are zero.

Or one hundred percent.

Nothing is known.

Keep that in mind.

No one knows anything.

Everything being spoken and written is rumor, because the only person who can state anything substantive, with any authority, is Patrick Fitzgerald, and he's not talking.

So, right now, the odds of indictments being forthcoming are exactly the same as the odds of indictments not being forthcoming.

No one knows anything.

No one knows anything.

When it comes to an end, we'll know everything - that is, either there will be indictments, or there won't be indictments.

It's that simple.

All this speculation is just jerking off by people with hopes and opinions, but hopes and opinions are not facts.

No one knows anything.

13. Ya know, Pug,
it's Occam's Razor - the simplest explanation is the correct one.

But, I have to admit, even I'm fighting down the urge to fly up my own wazoo.

Still, someone has to go around bursting the balloons..............

14. LOL....true
and Occam's Razor most of the time holds true.

Now I spooled myself up even further reading that there is a possibility that Fitzgerald my issue SEALED indictments.

"Hey Pug, here's a great big fat wrapped Christmas present and guess what? Ya can't open the fucker for a year!"

Now, consider that this might be what it feels like inside 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW these days:

Don't you feel better already?

20. I think there will be indictments. why?
Why do I think there will be indictments? Because, I'm 100% convinced that a crime was committed and in the ability of Fitz to prove that a crime was committed.

My only worry is that they will get to him somehow, because the stakes here are very high. For that reason, I have to say that every day that passes beyond Oct 28 my confidence in indictments coming will be diminished.
