GOP: Soft on Crime
I think we need to stress this. The right's strength relies on repeating simple messages, true or not. We can beat them at their own game and still speak the truth.

With all of the apologists for DeLay, Taft, Bush, Cheney and all of the other treasonous freedom haters, I am starting to think that the alleged values party is soft on crime and is perfectly OK with the idea of stealing from America's coffers (ie: all of our money).

They will make excuses left and right, blame Clinton, and attack us personally, but will never admit that they'd stab their neighbors for a quick buck.

Ironic that they will point at the looters stealing food, water, and other things but ignore the theft of millions of dollars.

1. They're particularly soft and compassionate and supportive
Only when it involves Republicans.

4. GOP: Crime
The Republican Party isn't just soft on crime, it IS crime.

Those who feel superior feel superior to the law. Sure, they don't like violent crimes and small thieveries, but large-scale embezzlement like the Savings and Loan disaster are something they respect until the downfall comes.

They embody the dark side of the American character: getting away with things. Money is everything, and the ability to dominate others is the true height of character for them; they're primitive thugs who prize dominance and wealth above all else. It's all a game, and those who can get away with skirting or breaking the laws are their true heroes.

This isn't just a minor trait in the common conservative makeup, it's a core value: other people are crap, unless they're close family and cronies. Other people are to be taken advantage due to their inferiority.

Crimes by little people, however, ESPECIALLY crimes against property, are to be treated with a life-ending harshness.

5. You say it so well. CRIMES R US not partisan when it comes
to greed and corruption. Little people cannot control levers of gov like the organized political machines of this country. Yes, property has always been fiercely protected by the haves of any country. Thanks for the great post.
