So Why Does Fitz Need a Website?
I'm thinking because websites are very useful places to post things like tables, charts and timelines. Suggestive, ain't it?

1. It's a premptive move
to disseminate information and to prevent another "Saturday Night Masacre" ala Watergate.

2. Because when the indictments come down
his office is going to be flooded with requests for all sorts of materials, constantly. This way they can just post stuff and direct people to the site, rather than responding to each request individually.

6. Exactamundo. Plus I am pretty sure the indictments are there-
just waiting for a keystroke to load them in case Gonzalez wants to talk to him on Saturday night. I am sure there are folks with computers dedicated to watching that site and there are people who will refresh from now until the indictments come down.

4. Anyone know if this is rare or common for a US attorney?
I have no idea if Fitz' is addressing some program for public information sharing within the Dept. of Justice.

7. Two ways to look at it.
It'll answer questions when indictments are handed down.

But it'll also provide public access to documents when the office is shut down, indictments or no.
