Will he invade Syria and nuke Iran and North Korea to "save" this corrupt, festering muck he calls the Administration? I can actually see him doing it, and convincing his minions and ditto-heads it's best to kill the brown people terraists (to distract them) from seeing how he fucked things up.

Goosebumps and shivers are not good under these circumstances.

1. Naw That means he'd have someone fighting him
Instead, he ordered Wilma to hand around on standby.

3. Amidst impending indictments?
He has no credibility any more. Another military gesture, I believe, would be met w/hostility by our citizenry. The American people are now more concerned about the state of our own country & have no desire to expand an already strained military into another debacle.

9. Naw, this would not fly
There are too many paying attention now...finally.
The citizenry are now in a mode where they want to take care of our own after Katrina.
Watch what happens when the retailers are not realizing sales with Christmas coming.
The silly morons do not realize that the wealthy cannot keep the economy afloat.
Then again, * does not like to admit where he is wrong and instead will choose to stay the course.

15. Agreed, OKdem. It is way past the point where he can start a war
and boost himself. I believe that point was reached with Katrina. If he does that, he truly is finished. There will be people with pitchforks in front of the WH.

20. yep...the PNAC agenda failed
just like communism. And for the ame reason...poor execution.

Any more military actions in the Middle East will have to be covert. At least until after 2006.

In fact, we are already getting news of that, now. Prepare for the Cambodization of Syria.

4. Just maybe congress is tired of juggling funds
and robbing Peter to pay Paul for Bush's whims. I don't think they will allow him to start any more wars. They know they want to be re-elected and another war is not the way to do it.

12. No.
My understanding is that a compromise has been reached with North Korea that suits the US, South Korea, and North Korea. An invasion of Syria would cause chaos in the Middle East (more so) and the response would decimate our troops. Iran, IMO, is the wild card. Whereas Syria is known for ties to terrorist groups and not thought highly of in the Arab world, they are still tolerated; that is not the same for Iran. However, Iran has the backing of Russia and China, which may work in her favor. Also, Iran has been working more with the UN than expected.

My honest fear...another homeland attack! To get his numbers up he needs the support of the US public, which he clearly doesn't have. Although another terrorist attack wouldn't garner as much world sympathy as 9-11, it would be seen as enough as a "mandate" in his little coke addled mind. However, I am not sure how much political "currency" he still has, even the so-called DINOS will not support aggressive action anymore. His little game of "Risk," I think, is about to come to a screeching halt!

14. Something will be put on the table, he is not an honest or sane man
Whenever the name of God, anyone's god for that matter, is brought up in the name of killing, I shudder because there is no rationality involved, only pandering or false loyalty.

He will pull something to try to improve his creditability with the American sheeple. He cannot spend the next three years being laughed at. His ego will not allow it. He needs the publics love to function.

18. Nonsense....
every student of History knows that huge wars don't start with some little brushfire war in some out-of-the-way spot.

The assassination of that no-name Archduke in 1914 didn't lead to anything.... much.

Who gives a shit about who invades Poland? Poland!!..fercrissakes.

Bush and his buddies are waaaay too competent to get the world into a Big One.

(Deep, bitter sarcasm intended)

21. He already has
And yes, Syria very much is next on the list. That UN report is only preliminary (even Mehlis himself has noted that at this point there are only suspects, and most of the supposed "get Hariri" conversations are based on hearsay), but already the Bushies are baying for blood.

when I heard last night on talk radio that Bush does not need to consult the congress to invade syria.

Lets face it, this is part of the PNAC agenda and I am realizing Bush is a total MADMAN!!!

And I am not the paranoid type, more of a pragmatist!!
