Cheney’s visit causes a stir
“They went by too fast.”

JACKSON TWP. – For some people it was nothing more than a headache.

As Vice President Dick Cheney was ushered to a $1,000-a-head fund-raiser for U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, traffic snarled.

<snip>

The disrupted traffic had disrupted her day, and she was taking five in the parking lot of the Sheetz gas station.

A fund-raiser?

“Oh I got an invitation to that. I’m not going,” she said. “You had to come up with like $1,000.”

1. Remember the fuss abut Clinton's haircut aboard Air Force One?
The stinking GOP called it "Hairgate"? There were minor delays at the airport (forgot which one) because Clinton was getting a haircut.

This shit happens all the time with the Monkey and Darth Vader, but no one seems to make a fuss. Everyttime that bastard comes to blow hot gas at the UN, the traffic in midtown NY is a nightmare.

2. I just hate it when they go running around on our dime to make money for
another gd pub. Cost more to fly that plane than Sanitary Rick probably made.

3. Ok Kids. 200 Rwingers attended an event
at $1000 a piece. At this black tie fundraiser, there is also a option for attendees(suckers) to get their pic taken with the Evil One for a mere $5000 each. As the event raised only $300,000 how many numbnuts lined up for a picture with Meister Sneerwell?

That's right! ONLY 20!
My, how times have changed....

4. Lots of funny details in the article
The vice president?

Leaning halfway out the window, Dave Hook made a hand gesture indicating he couldn’t care less.

It was just after 11 a.m. and Hook was halfway between Noxen and his job in Wilkes-Barre. He was wearing a tie. He was smoking a small cigar. And he was late.

“I was supposed to be at work like half an hour ago.”

7. There's nothing wrong with using taxpayer dollars ...
... to attend fundraisers NOW. But there will be a lot wrong with it when the next Democratic president does it -- the RWs will all be crying like Nancy Kerrigan the first time he uses a DIME of taxpayers' money for anything even remotely associated with a Dem event!

10. Glad it made you LOL ...
... it's an expression I've been using for years -- it's just so damNed descriptive.

My other favourite is "Bawlin' like Jim Bakker". Remember when they came to cuff him, and he hid under his desk, crying like a baby? That's the photo I long to see on the front page of every newspaper in the country: Bush hiding under his desk in the Oval Office, bawlin' like Bakker, with the headline:

"FEARLESS LEADER LAST W.H. MEMBER TO BE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY".

I guess the answer is, "Because they can."

11. Jackson Hole
Thought for a minute this article was about Jackson Hole, WY, not Jackson TWP, PA. As Repug as WY is when we were out in JH they didn't seem to like Cheney much there either. He seems to think WY is his personal reserve- parks AFII and then seems to tie up the whole little state.

12. There's plenty of people in Jackson Hole who could afford it
Teton County is the richest in America.
