That is, if you're loyal to him no matter what he says or does.

However, I believe it doesn't work both ways. I think he'd throw out Karl if he had to if it meant saving his sorry ass. Oh, he'd be sorry he had to do it, but he wouldn't hesitate who stays in the lifeboat.

Loyalty to them is strictly one way.

3. It's not loyalty. It's his inability to lead.

6. I don't think it's loyalty either.
Look at how they throw each other to the wolves when it's necessary. Look at how Bush treated Paul O'Neill a few years ago.

At this moment, Bush is probably trying to figure out who to throw under the bus with possible indictments on the way. Does anybody believe he will be a man about it? Not in this lifetime. He's trying to figure out who will be a good sacrificial goat, which will satisfy the public's need for Blood. Preferably high enough that it won't be seen as a "token" scapegoat.

Loyalty is a good thing. It connotates standing by each other, working together, protecting each other.

There's NO LOYALTY in the White House. Only rigidity.

4. Don't worry about Karl.
Even if Dubya throws him out, the Bush cartel will make sure he gets a very lucrative job afterward, knocking down fifty gazillion dollars a year. That's how it works. How do you think CEOs get their jobs? The BODs pick them, and certainly not the shareholders. And who gives BOD members their jobs? The CEOs.

It's all a corrupt system of cronyism.
