Bush Lays Groundwork for Miers to Back Out
Shrub :dunce: has found a way to back out...

As our insider source told us over the weekend, Republican senators on the Judiciary committee do not want to confirm Harriet Miers to the U.S. Supreme Court. Today, President Bush gave them their way out.

1. wait a minute.... that's Krauthammer's "scheme"...
he was on TV with it last week, and wrote a column about it. Fred Barnes shot it down saying, "Yeah, but now they can't do it because they'll all know it was Charlie's idea."

2. Amazing how Repugs need an excuse/cover to do the right thing.
One would think that they would do anything rather than admit Bush fucked it up, wouldn't one?

3. And may she return the favor...
On the incompetent scale, I think Dubya wins the prize over Harriet Miers.

And on the idiocy and corruption scale, he blows her out of the water.

4. Incompetence is a prerequisite for being considered by B**sh.
Just how many people on his cabinet are there because they are buddies with either him or daddy?

5. Hello to you, NYC Liberal.
I can't give you an exact number to your question, but your question is exactly the right one to ask.

I wish someone in the WH press corps would ask Dubya to his face next time they meet in the Rose Garden.

I am soon to join your ranks as a NYC liberal. I'm moving in 6 days. I love New York and lived there for 3 years in earlier times, and I'm homesick and want to get back.

All good wishes to you.

6. Excellent! I love New York...in large part because of how liberal it is!
Very few wingnuts around here.

I actually might be moving up to Toronto next year, but I'm not sure yet. It will be hard to leave!

7. Toronto, eh? Well, you sure do know how to pick a city to live in.
Whether you stay or go, I wish you the best.
