Important! California Guv Could Face Recall
Important! Schwarzenneger could face Recall

There is a rapidly growing campaign to recall Arnold Schwarzenneger's
office as governor of California. If you believe in progress and want a qualified governor instead of a Republican movie star,
check out www.recall2006.com and help out in any way you can, maybe even donate 5 or 10 bucks.

Also check out this article in the New York Times:

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/10/09/national/09recall.html

Thanks!

11. Issa isn't likely to turn against fellow Repub. Schwarzenegger, although
I'm sure Issa would love a chance at the governor's office - he seems to be content though to remain a congressman, though we should never count out his evil intentions

4. I didn't like the first one
and I wouldn't approve of this one.

At some point voters need to be held accountable for their actions.

7. You ain't seen nothin' yet
There is a proposition making the bureaucratic rounds in Sacramento to clone Proposition 75 (Public Employee "Pay Check Protection") into a Private Sector version.

---Employees could challenge the "Employee PACS."

---Shareholders could challenge corporate political contributions.

Progressives are chortling. ;)

8. Not really.....
....because if Schwarzy were to offer such, it would be passed and big money would still have an advantage. They would just lose one avenue of funneling.

15. California is the land of hungry trial lawyers
(My son is a trial lawyer -- and he has a humongus shark on his wall above his book cases)

16. This is democracy in action
People vote their checkbooks first in the ultimate analysis, and Arnold isn't helping them pay the damn bill at the end of the month. Regardless of what people may think about California electing another Hollywood actor trying to be a politician, you should have at least some faith in the people in making decisions about their own households.
