Bush could use a couple gallons of my mother`s home brew.

Bush has to get himself stabilized right rapidly if he wants to remain vertical in the coming days. That`s why I`m thinking he might want to toss down a few quarts of my mother`s home brew. I`m not a drinking woman, but I can give a firsthand report on the miraculous adjustments this stuff makes on one`s reality. That`s what Bush needs right now...a reality adjustment...so he can stop looking like a scared toddler checking under his bed.

Something happened to Bush`s swagger. It`s gone, as are those pesky hand-chop movements where he slices up the air to scare off opponents. Even the bams have disappeared...those motions where he bangs the podium to add a little zing to his "killin` killers" speeches.

Bush has taken quite a tumble from those flight suit and Nascar flyover days. Wish I could muster up some compassion for him but I used it all up on the suffering in Louisiana and the legless soldiers at Walter Reed.

This is an interesting turn of events, a turn that has the attention of historians and brick layers, golfers and scientists, musicians and landscapers. A pivotal moment when Americans will come face to face with the tangible peril of answering zealotry with indifference.
