Freepers pay homage to Rosa Parks
There's at least one liberal icon who transcends partisan politics. There's nary a disrespectful comment in the attached thread. Out of respect to Ms. Parks, I'll avoid the usual digs and thank everyone on both sides of the political spectrum who has the good sense to recognize a genuine American hero.

1. I'm surprised
they haven't called her an outside agitator. That is their lineage.

4. Yeah, but it's pretty much negated ...
by all their digs at current civil rights figures.

I don't think many of them have a sincere bone in their body.

5. Heartening... mostly.
There are a few jerks, in there. But it seems mostly slam-dunk "Great American".

I'll have to recalibrate.

6. There was one exception....

"Rosa Parks was a member of the Communist Party USA, and along with a few other black Marxists, she helped transform the civil rights movement into the absurdly and surreal stew of hate and bitterness which exists today. The rights of black people were long championed by conservative Republicans, who for the last 150 years have consistently supported civil rights for blacks (pointedly, when it gave Republicans no political advantage at all.)"

I'd laugh if this weren't so pitiful...Conservative Republicans championing black folks....

7. Hey, it only took them 18 posts to bring up Clinton.
That's gotta be some kind of record, or something..

8. Reagan said he longed for the 50's when no racial problems
existed and we "all got along". The stupid freepers had no idea or care how we were discriminating against the Blacks. None at all. They did it with Katrina again. Let the poor blacks homes be destroyed and let them live without dignity for days was acceptable to them. Or let the racists (fr)creepers call the blacks dumb and lazy for not getting out when stats are showing the majority were elderly.

In my opinion the Bushbots today are every bit as racist as in Rosa Parks time. They are just changing their deceitful tactics to be more PC correct.

9. I'll bet she'd get savaged at the Yahoo News boards
and chances are the crude remark would somehow tie in Bill Clinton.

But I'm surprised at the positive comments over at FR; there must not be many John Birchers over there because those guys loved to smear Ms. Parks as a Communist plant.

Hmm... what? What's this?

You sure stuck a pin in the party doll on this thread. Just in case some wont follow your link I thought Id cut and paste a paragraph. An old cop told me about this years ago. There must be something to it.
