Now here is a letter from today's New York Times:

"The heroine of the story is Ms. Miller, who goes down in journalistic history with John Peter Zenger and Edward R. Murrow. She went to jail; she took the bullet for The Times and for all of us. The bad guys are Robert Novak, Karl Rove, I. Lewis Libby and ultimately President Bush.
That is the lead. The rest is filler."

So, here is a guy aware enough of the world that he writes a letter to the New York Times, and yet is so unaware that he has no idea of what the rest of the world knows about Miller???!!!!
(on the other hand, at least he gigs *)

"writes a letter to the New York Times"
and...they publish it. I think that's what's more bizzaro-world, that they published the dumb thing.

2. Writer doesn't realize she was witness to crime/coverup by WH officials |

I have heard this same complaint by several otherwise bright people I know who do not understand the details of the case. They ask why did she go to jail instead of Rove and Libby when she didn't even write about Plame, not realizing that Fitzgerald required her testimony to be able to obtain indictments that can stick against the wrongdoers.
