Does Tenet need to go back to the grand jury?

If it was Tenet who told Cheney about Valerie Plame, who then told Libby, who "passed it on", the question is: did Tenet inform Cheney of Plame's covert status? Did Cheney KNOW he was passing on classified information about a covert CIA operative? One can assume if Cheney knew she was covert, then Libby knew... which means Cheney can be proven to be part of this criminal conspiracy. True, Cheney did not testify under oath, nevertheless, could he (or will he) be named an "un-indicted co-conspirator"? Would Cheney then resign?

As much as i want to conclude this and have indictments rolling out, I also want Fitz to have all his ducks in a row however long it takes. I wonder if Tenet has answered this question.

Mr. Libby's notes indicate that Mr. Cheney had gotten his information about Ms. Wilson from George J. Tenet, the director of central intelligence, in response to questions from the vice president about Mr. Wilson. But they contain no suggestion that either Mr. Cheney or Mr. Libby knew at the time of Ms. Wilson's undercover status or that her identity was classified. Disclosing a covert agent's identity can be a crime, but only if the person who discloses it knows the agent's undercover status.

1. The thing is
it wasn't a crime for tenet to tell Dick or for dick to tell libby - but it is a crime for Whoever told the journalists (and maybe for who directed that person to tell the journalists - though that might be hard to prove unless Libby rolls, eh?)

5. yes, BUT if we accept that Novak did not know Plame was covert
then the leaker did not TELL Novak... Libby was one of the leakers, so then did Libby deliberately withold her covert status? Did Cheny direct him to do so? What does Fitz know?

So many questions!

2. I must say "I told you so" which I don't like to do and am not

saying I told you specifically. Twice I have posted on DU that I thought it was Tenet who spilled the beans about Plame because of the way he suddenly resigned with the excuse that he wanted to spend time with his son before he left home for college. Now, I suppose Cheney has a right to know (security clearance??), but he certainly has no right to out her covertly or otherwise in my opinion and he should be punished to fullest of the law. If that means hanging him, so be it! Let it happen. He and this administration have put this country through enough hell because "they" wanted to show Hussein who was boss and Haliburton wanted more contracts to rebuild Iraq thus lining the pockets of Cheney. And of course, there is the oil angle. I hope Fitz puts the screws to all of them!

4. Why would Tenet tell Cheney about Wilson's wife
unless asked by Cheney? I think they were sharpening the knives for quite some time.
