1. He must have asked the GJ to indict.
We should know today or tomorrow hopefully who gets it.

7. Enough already!
Just who are these "sources" anyway? This is almost as bad as Faux saying "Some are saying" without identifying anyone or anything. Either it's going to happen or it isn't. My guess, and it's only a guess, is that Mr. Fitzgerald is a very meticulous man and wants to have an ironclad case against whomever gets named in any indictments. Please, rawstory people, start dealing in hard facts, not possibilities and Faux-like rumor and innuendo. In other words, make sure the facts are really and truly as you state them, not "Sources say".

12. Upgraded to DEVELOPING HARD....
http://rawstory.com/news/2005/Fitzgerald_has_decided_to_seek_indictments_1025.html

Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald has decided to seek indictments in the outing of Valerie Plame Wilson and has submitted at least one to the grand jury, those close to the investigation tell RAW STORY.

Fitzgerald will seek at least two indictments, the sources say. They note that it remains to be seen whether the grand jury will approve the charges.

Those familiar with the case state that Fitzgerald likely will not seek indictments that assert officials leaked Plame's name illegally. Rather, they say that he will focus charges in the arena of lying to investigators.

RAW STORY has not learned who Fitzgerald is seeking to charge. Reports indicate that of those fingered in the case, Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, is in the most jeopardy. President Bush's Deputy Chief of Staff, Karl Rove, also appears to have given conflicting testimony to the grand jury.

14. As tangled as this web is, it makes sense
Before dumping half a hundred possible indictments to the GJ it is better to go for the crux of the matter and proceed logically from there. For example, if you can prove perjury then you have proven that a lie has been told. Then you look at the lie and see how it has spread from there. In otherwords it is hard to push for a conspiracy indictment without first proving there was something to conspire about. Only after you get the first premise established can you push for the other charges.

9. How soon before a terror alert is sounded?
Say what you will about rawstory they have been pretty credible about the Fitzgerald investigation. If they say Fitz has decided on indictments I'm over 90% sure that something will happen.

15. Bomb threat in LA airport this morning
Orange County/John Wayne Airport received one too. Looks like Rove is running out of places to scare in the East and he now must head out West.

10. Would he want to announce indicments *before* grand jury is dismissed?
Or wait until afterward?

I'd just hate for this to be a Friday news dump.

17. This is all speculation
Edited on Tue Oct-25-05 01:03 PM by Mz Pip
We know nothing. There aren't any leaks coming out of Fitz's office so we all just have to wait for the real BrEaking News which Fitz himself will make.

Last week I read some "news" that there were 22 charges being filed. Now it's two.

We just don't know. I am about as excited as a kid the night before Christmas. Only I don't quite know when Christmas is. Today? Tomorrow? I can speculate and hope about what is in my presents but I really don't know because they are too well wrapped.

18. I recommend three things...
1 Take a deep breath.

2 Wait and see.

3 Remember this: ANY NUMBER OF INDICTMENTS ARE BAD FOR * & Co.

Don't let them play the low expectation game on this. "Well, it was going to be 149, but there are only 7," or 5. or 2. or 1. Take an historical view. Think of what happens to administrations in which indictments are leveled against current members. Think Agnew. Think Teapot Dome. These events are earthshaking and very high profile. Some people will only be learning about this treason when the indictments come down. We want indictments. Yes, we want a lot of them, as a lot of them are deserved. But the cases that come from these indictments WILL shine a light on this criminal administration's lies and deceits leading to war. The cases WILL NOT make the administration more popular. Let the GOP spin machine say, "Look, there were only (x) indictments!" Let's not amplify that talking point. Let's turn it around and say: "This administration has lied and lied treasonously. Now they are being called to account for the lies."

The GOP will try to turn a small number of indictments into a victory. Let's not turn real, actual indictments into a defeat.
