I Don't Think I Agree With Randi About * Not Knowing What Cheney.... |
|
was doing. We here at DU knew collectively in the run up to the war that Cheney was putting pressure on the CIA to fit the intelligence to the story. How could * not know?
One has to be a complete idiot not to know.
Even if we give * the benefit of the doubt that 'plausable deniability' was in force - maybe they didn't directly involve him in any of these antics - but a reasonably smart president should have surmised that this (fixing the intelligence) was going on.

2. Remember...Bush is willfully ignorant when it doesn't fit his views... |
|
why would he question evidence that supported the invasion of Iraq?

Everyone in the WH knows who's really running the show. Cheney would not have gone out of his way to protect the Pretzeldent when he knows he's really the one calling the shots.
And even after * was notified the Niger story was bullshit he still went on trying to make it sound like it was the truth. So did the rest of his admin. Hell, two-years after the fact the RW is still trying to convince the public that Wilson is a liar. * knew and now it seems the admin is in the shitter.

He was probably involved. He won't be indicted though, maybe unindicted conspirator.

7. Bush knew...to say he didn't plays right into his "Faux-Reagan" game |
|
People were charmed by Reagan falling asleep in meetings, not knowing what happened with the BCCI/Iran-Contra and other scandals becuase he was just too busy being a cowboy...
...Bush wants to have the perception that he is doing the same thing. You can bet he will act like he didn't know shot about what all those smart guys were doin', he was too busy lookin' fer terrorists and protectin' America to even have time to see what them bad apples were doin' at the White House.
Yep, the MBA President will act like he done jus' had a certificate from trade school...
Don't fall for it. Bush is a treasonous, AWOL pussy. Period.

8. You kidding? Shrub lives for this stuff |

Political retributions were his specialty when he was working for Poppy. If he was out of the loop, he was probably mad about being out of the loop.
