He may as well say "If Cheney would be truthful, then we'd have truth."

Put that way, it's not exactly a glowing endorsement. In fact, it implies that Cheney is dodging and bobbing and weaving. Or, put more simply, lying.

It seems to me that this point undermines the latest in Republican spin, that goes a little something like this: This White House has been as cooperative with this investigation as possible; contrast the last White House, etc." It seems like Tweety's saying that this White House is not being particularly cooperative, which is why we don't have the truth of the matter yet.
